Fortnite players using Shuri's Black Panther Claws experience a fatal bug that sends them soaring into the sky. Epic Games teaming up with Marvel again for another superhero-themed season, Fortnite has seen a plethora of new weapons and items added to the game that are straight out of a Marvel movie or comic book. From Captain America's Shield to Shuri's Black Panther Claws, Chapter 5 Season 4, also known as Absolute Doom, has completely mixed up the game's meta. Unfortunately, many of the new ones Fortnite items have undergone substantial nerfs since the release of the new content update, which is just one of the many controversies that have arisen during the season.
Along with constant nerfs and the ridiculously overpowered Doctor Doom Fortnite weapons, players now experience a frustrating bug that sends them soaring into the sky. On Reddit, a user posted a short clip of them using Shuri's Black Panther Claws and trying to use the ability to jump forward. Unfortunately, as they activated the ability, they were teleported to the very top of the island. Fortunately, they took no damage from the fall as they rushed back to the island, but it put them out of action for over a minute.

The post clearly resonated with the community, as did other enthusiasts Fortnite players revealed that they encountered the exact same bug. Reddit user GalickGunn said the same thing happened to them two weeks ago while playing with their son. They explained that there was only one team left, but when they used their jump ability, it shot them into the sky. Fortunately, their son was able to finish the job and pick up the royal victory. Another user, known as doomsoul909, said he encountered the bug while doing a “claw only” challenge.
It's not the first time Fortnite players have experienced a glitch with a Marvel weapon, and it likely won't be the last. While there's no way to know for sure what's causing this frustrating error, one Reddit user speculated that the problem is related to server desync. They explained that the server probably couldn't determine the exact position of the players in time, so it defaulted the location to 0, which is where the battle bus spawns at the start of the game.
