A moth to a flame

In Disney Dreamlight Valleyyou'll often unlock new story missions as you open up more biomes. The second extension, The Storybook Valecontinue this trend. As you gradually unlock more areas, the story will unfold. While your ultimate goal is to get Maleficent and Hades talking again, there are many obstacles between you and that goal. During the quest for the story, A Moth to a Flame, you will have to deal with such an obstacle.

This tutorial contains spoilers, proceed with caution.

Explore the Fields of Fire

After you've collected 5,000 Magical Storybooks, you'll be able to break down the barrier that keeps you out of the Fiery Fields. At this point, you will begin the A Moth To A Flame quest. The first thing you'll want to do before you start exploring the new area is to repair the Wishing Well so you can fast travel here later if necessary.

South of the Wishing Well, you'll see another entrance to a Trial, but it's blocked by ethereal-looking flames. Take a picture of the fire and then talk to Hades. It's not clear if it's a bug, but it may take several tries from different angles to get an image that gives you credit for this search. If you're struggling, try taking a selfie so you get all the flames in the picture.

Hades explains what's up with the flames, but has no idea how to get rid of them. Talk to the Keeper of Knowledge, who will tell you that he has a story that may provide information on the whereabouts of the Sacred Spring. But to access it, you will need to collect the following:

• 10 Red Bird Fragments
• Five Pink Demon Shards
• Two Blue Demon Shards

Shards of Red Bird walk around the Library of Knowledge. Pink Demon Shards can be found in Elysian Plains and Fire Plains, while Blue Demon Shards are in Fire Fields and Fallen Citadel. Blue Demon Shards spawn in smaller numbers and require more attempts to catch than Pink Demon Shards. When you manage to catch all the fragments, return to the Lorekeeper and select “I want to reorder the stories!”.

How to complete Aurora and the Sacred Spring

Once you've unlocked this story, you'll have to solve a puzzle. This is a much more difficult puzzle than the one you solved in a previous story quest, and there will be no lines to guide you where each piece goes. The first step is to put at least three pieces on the board in the right places. The image above is a good place to start solving this puzzle.

Two of the pieces are shaped like a royal watering can. Place one of them in the place described above. This fills up more of the board and makes it easier to see where certain pieces will end up.

When you put all the pieces together, this is what the puzzle will look like. The solved puzzle gives you a clue as to where the Sacred Spring is. Go to Elysian Fields and go to the left side of the giant pool. There, you'll see a bunch of pink bushes. Approach and interact with them to find the Sacred Spring. When you interact with the Sacred Spring, a small vial of water will appear on the ground. Pick it up and then talk to Hades.

Gather the ingredients for the potion

Unfortunately, the water in the Sacred Springs is not enough to deal with the flames. You will need to collect some materials before you can continue. Specifically, you must collect:

• Five Crimson Eternal Poppies
• Three magmas
• Two Hippocampus

Fortunately, if you already have some of these materials, they will count for this quest. If you don't need any of these items, you can find them all in Mythopia. When fishing for Hippocampus, focus on fishing from white ripples. When you have all the materials, head to a crafting table and make the water potion. Open your inventory and use the potion to upgrade your watering can.

With this update, you will have no problem putting out the flames that block your path. Use the Royal Net to open the portal to the Mythic Process. This completes A Moth To A Flame, and then begins the next story quest, Promethean Flame.
