- Baldur's Gate 3 is finally getting changes on console since yesterday with the arrival of Patch 7.
- To celebrate, Larian Studios and Spud Gun Studios released an official animated short featuring a modding wizard wreaking havoc on the titular city.
To celebrate the changes finally coming to console, Larian Studios has teamed up with Spud Gun Studios for an official Baldur's Gate 3 animated short, bringing back the talented cast for a quick round of Dungeons & Giant Rabbits.
The three-minute cartoon sees a modding wizard wreaking havoc on the titular Baldur's Gate, even messing with our party. Gale sports a faded blonde Smash Mouth haircut and a glock, Karlach has a pot on her head, Let Me Solo her style, and Shadowheart throws rainbows.
To combat the evil of a hobbyist who doesn't care about immersion, horror, Wyll pulls out a lightsaber, Astarion gets some purple flames, and Shadowheart holds a magic wand. But of course the wand is not enough at all and she quickly turned into a cat woman. You can watch the entire video here:
Worst of all, Lae'zel gets a human nose
One of the defining characteristics of a githyanki is their small, flat nose. Lae'zel even mocks the regular humanoid bot, but since release there have been a lot of changes that improve the cast and take away their unique traits.
The most popular of which, innocuously titled “alternative faces”, gives Lae'zel a series of human noses… it looks wrong.
Damn wizard, you've gone too far!
So it's only fitting that Larian Studios pokes fun at these modders in the new animation by giving Lae'zel a humanoid nose just to watch him panic in real time. But she retaliates with an Evil Dead-style chainsaw, just as Vlaakith would have wanted.
