Things can get messy often in Baldur's Gate 3. I don't mean choosing the wrong dialogue option or accidentally messing up your way. of honor I'm talking about fireballing a crew of goblins and splattering their blood and guts all over you. Along with living mostly in the wild, your party is going to get a little dirty and smelly.

Fans need to let Larian move on from Baldur's Gate 3
It is not a live service game.
Sure, you can take a long rest to clean up before your next encounter, but who has time for that when there are places to go and Illithids to kill? In another case where Larian has an answer but doesn't tell the players, it turns out you can use a sponge tray to clean yourself and remove any foul odors.
You have to look good while saving the world
Based on a Reddit post by TwistedCKR1, it turns out that many Baldur's Gate 3 players didn't know that the Sponge Tray is a reusable item that will clean you and remove any odor from you. I admit, I didn't know that, and I spent many love scenes with Lae'zel covered in blood. But I think he liked it.
Many of the comments were surprised by this fact. Yes, the sponge tray description mentions that you can do this, but I doubt many players have even picked it up, let alone read its description. But if they did, it would have spared them many instances of their party being completely drenched in blood during cutscenes.
A nice little secret pointed out by one of the comments is, “If you use it before entering the circus in Act 3, the door ghoul will let you through without question, as he doesn't detect any blood scent on you.” These little details make us love the game even more.
Sure, you can step into a body of water or throw a water bottle at yourself, but it's pretty cool that Larian even thought of that as an option. It makes perfect sense if you think about it, though. The party lives mainly in the wild, so a sponge tray will be the best way they can clean themselves. However, very few people realized that the developers would be so detail oriented.
Baldur's Gate 3 is the long-awaited next chapter in the RPG game series based on Dungeons & Dragons. Developed by Divinity creator Larian Studios, it places you in the middle of a mental invasion of Faerûn, over a century after the events of its predecessor.
