At one point or another, you've surely come across a character who rubbed you the wrong way. Whether it's their actions, their tone, or even just their general vibe, they just make you want to turn the freedom of the game against them. On the Baldur's Gate 3 subreddit, players have been revealing some of the littlest things they've done on their adventures.
Baldur's Gate 3 players can be pretty petty
It seems that saving the city comes second to getting revenge on someone who pissed you off in Baldur's Gate 3. On the game's subreddit, players talked about how petty they were during the game.
The original poster, a Roguish Bard Durge, didn't take too well to Mattis' tricks in Emerald Grove. The little Tiefling tried to steal their things even after a warning, so they decided that all the Tiefling children had to pay. They stole all of Mattis and Silfy's things, then proceeded to go downstairs and steal all of Mol's things, including her teddy bear. And she went ahead and stole the idol.
Much of the pettiness was targeted by Wulbren. BG3 players seem to really hate this guy, but it's easy to see why. Among the comments, players mentioned that they threw the hammer right at his head to get him out of the cell, broke his chair in the Last Light Inn so he had to stand, and some even rescued him from the cell, just to push. him in the water while everyone escapes.
Other instances of pettiness involved Shadowheart carrying every Selune item in Act 1, making Astarion carry all the garlic, slapping Gale's hand while he's stuck in the portal instead of helping him, putting rotten food on Mystra's alter and kissing Gale in front of him. and stealing the box from the guy outside Baldur's Mouth newspaper.
Some of the other comments were even homicidal, but most were about how they pissed off an NPC, which may or may not have ultimately led to their death.
Baldur's Gate 3 is the long-awaited next chapter in the RPG game series based on Dungeons & Dragons. Developed by Divinity creator Larian Studios, it places you in the middle of a mental invasion of Faerûn, over a century after the events of its predecessor.
