Black Ops 6 could take its franchise tributes to the next level with a Zombies feature

Because Call of duty always trying to shake things up, there were a lot of ideas that didn't carry over to the next chapter. While this often comes in the form of maps and mechanics, the games' weapon lists also seem to vary from game to game. Of course, this is often due to the different time periods and concepts at play. But, with Call of Duty: Black Ops 6this approach could change drastically in his Zombie mode.

Like any other mode, Call of duty Zombie mode has been added and removed in its fair share of weapons. They are either removed due to different periods of time in the game, because they were under or over, or just to keep things fresh. However, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 seems like a blast from the past for many. And because of that, it may be Treyarch's chance to revisit some of Zombies' more forgotten weapons through the popular mystery box mechanic.

If new Call of Duty 2025 leaks are to be believed, Back Ops 6's Zombies mode could have a lot to cover in the next couple of months.

Zombies mode has the perfect feature to honor the past

Black Ops 6's mystery box might be the perfect outlet for nostalgia

From its beginnings, Call of dutyHis mystery box was a fun way for players to prepare to battle hordes of zombies. In each iteration, this box housed much of the game's arsenal, as well as powerful Wonder weapons such as the Ray Gun. With black ops 6, this continues to be the case. However, some players feel that the armor in this game is quite light, with many of the same weapons appearing constantly. But all that could change if Treyarch wants to delve into the past.

The mystery box feels like the perfect place for Call of duty to explore its extensive past. Through it, players could obtain a wide range of weapons from previous Zombies mods. Instead of making room for these weapons on whatever map they're on, Treyarch could drop them in the box as a reward. Not only would this greatly expand the current game's arsenal, but it would also be a fantastic way to give players a bit of nostalgia. Of course, it would probably be a technical nightmare, but it seems like it would be worth the effort.

The Mystery Box expansion could take this mode to new heights

  • PPSh-41 from World at War
  • MP40 from World at War
  • STG 44 from World at War
  • Galil from Black Ops
  • Famous from Black Ops
  • Remington New Model Army from Black Ops 2
  • Mauser C96 from Black Ops 2
  • Black Ops 3 Marshals
  • The Haymaker in Black Ops 3
  • MOG 12 from Black Ops 4

These weapons are just a few of the many weapons that Treyarch could add to Black Ops 6his mystery box. If it wants to shake things up even more, the studio could also delve into the extensive list of Wonder weapons that Zombies has offered over the years. While the Ray Gun has become a series staple, many of the titles have had their own unique roster of special weapons that could once again shine in the newest Zombies experience.

As long as the studio can make sure they aren't overpowered or underpowered, all of these additions would be a lot of fun for players to mess around with once again. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 It already feels like a blast from the franchise's past, so now the studio just needs to tap into that idea further. And with all the Zombies content looming on the horizon, it seems like the perfect time to do just that. If not with Black Ops 6then Call of duty 2025 is waiting to include it.
