Even before launch, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's collaborations with Squid Game caused a bit of a stir. Having a separate paid reward track for an event in a game that's already full of passes and microtransactions didn't sit well with fans.

Every update makes me like Black Ops 6 less and less
Black Ops 6 quickly became an embarrassment.
The speech came and went, and the crossover event was launched on Friday. But as soon as it launched, fans were once again displeased, finding more reasons to hate the game's new cosmetics.
“I keep killing my teammates because those green overalls are on both sides”
Since launch, several threads have popped up on the Black Ops 6 subreddit, with players bemoaning the title's new Squid Game cosmetics.
The first frustration players encountered is that the two cosmetics in the event's free track look almost identical in battle. Players can unlock operator skins for Niran and Maya, both sporting the show's iconic green tracksuits; the problem is that they're incredibly hard to tell apart during fast-paced matches, causing confusion and, in Hardcore matches, friendly fire kills.
“I keep killing my teammates because those green overalls are on both sides. It's super annoying. I really wanted only one opposition to have the green overalls,” one user said in a post that was upvoted over 300 times. It was suggested that “the other team be red [pink] guys,” but that leads us to our next problem.

The masked workers wearing the hot pink jumpsuits are not available through the game and must be purchased separately for 2,800 CoD points, or around $25. That price alone is high for a few skins and cosmetic items, but it's made worse by the fact that they can only be used on one team, meaning for 50 percent of matches, you can't actually use what you've spent money on. Of course, this didn't go too well.
Finally, the final reward of the Call of Duty x Squid Game paid track is a new operator, “Front Man”. Front Man is dressed in his black outfit and mask from the show, complete with black mask, meaning that players who use him potentially have an advantage on darker maps. It evoked feelings similar to those of the rose skin of the past.
Players have already said they “think it's because an all-black skin could be advantageous sometime in the future,” and calls for Black Ops 6 to turn pay-to-win are back.
With the game losing nearly 50 percent of its players and calling for it to go free-to-play, Activision has a tough job on its hands.
Forced to go rogue. Hunted from within. This is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is an action espionage thriller set in the early 1990s, a time of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. With a compelling narrative and unbound by rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.
The Black Ops 6 campaign offers dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that features a variety of game spaces, with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger espionage.
In the ultimate multiplayer experience, players will test their skills on 16 new maps at launch, including 12 base 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.
Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will defeat hordes of undead across two brand new maps at launch. After launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and innovative experiences in both Multiplayer and Zombies.
