Nelliel Tu Odelschwank, Tres Espada
An incredibly powerful Arrancar
Nelliel was originally Tres Espada (Third), the third most powerful member of Sousuke Aizen's Arrancar Army. This was Nelliel's original form. She was a grown woman with long wavy green hair, a pink mark on her face and the Hollow mask was shaped like a ram. She was by far the strongest female warrior in all of Hueco Mundo. This deeply angered her teammate Nnoitra Gilga, a man who was also incredibly insecure about his power. He had to prove his strength against his peers, and also, most of all, extremely misogynistic. The idea of a woman being much, much stronger than him sickened him.
Nnoitra repeatedly challenged Nelliel to a fight to prove that he was actually stronger than her, but each time she defeated him effortlessly and, to his dismay, spared his life. Nnoitra sought to destroy all enemies he considered his inferiors, but in the event of losing a fight, he wished for a warrior's death and to die before his body touched the ground. The fact that Nelliel was not only much stronger than him, but took pity on him and spared his life sent him into an uncontrollable jealous despair.
And so, Nnoitra enlisted the help of Arrancar scientist Szayel Aporro Granz. And he hatched a plot to strip Nelliel of her powers and position. Together they unmasked Fracción, Pesche and Dondochakka. And then he treacherously attacked Nelliel, tearing off her mask. By doing this and using Szayel's science, she drained much of her spiritual pressure through the crack in the mask which turned her into an amnesiac child.
