6 Pajama robe
A cute (and more personal) look for the pirate empress
Not many people in One piece the world is privileged to witness someone as important as Boa Hancock in a more casual and personal setting. However, Monkey D. Luffy and Hancock's sisters – Marigold and Sandersonia – are obvious exceptions, as they all got to see her wearing this lovely red. pajama robe.
Getting to see this side of this intimidating character is really nice, and the piece itself looks both stylish and adorable, perfect for a character who values her physical appearance as much as Hancock. Naturally, red is a color that always looks great on her, and the yellow belt is quite unique, but it's the beautiful ruffled sleeves that elevate this outfit to one of her best.

One Piece: Nami's best outfits, ranked
Nami has been a part of One Piece for a long time and each arc of the anime has given her a new outfit.
The cape is already impressive on its own, but the rest of her outfit is also pretty solid, the biggest standout being her traditional yellow dress with dark pink Jolly Roger prints of the Kuja Pirates. When you consider all of these elements, it's no wonder that everyone at Impel Down respected Hancock so much.
4 3D2Y outfit
A traditional wear with a satisfying color combination
- Worn in: One Piece: 3D2Y: Beat Ace's Death! Luffy's Vow To His Friends OVA
Fortunately, the artists at Toei Animation have kept up the tradition of creating outstanding outfits for Boa Hancock whenever she appears in additional non-canon material. This is especially true for one of his main roles in the beloved OVA One Piece: 3D2Y: Beat Ace's Death! Luffy's oath to his friends.
A lot of the design elements surrounding Hancock and Amazon Lily in general are apparently based on Chinese and East Asian cultures, and this is perfectly exemplified by the purple dress with gold trim that she wears during this particular episode. Purple and gold are two colors that always look incredible together as they are often used for characters that belong to royalty, which is perfect for the beautiful Amazon Lily empress.
3 Marineford War Outfit
Boa Hancock's iconic battle outfit
Hancock's 3D2Y outfit looks great, but it's pretty obviously based on the dress she wore during Peak War at Marinefordwhich she was forced to attend due to her status as a Sea Warlord. Like the elegant icon that she is, Hancock almost always wears detailed outfits that make her stand out when engaged in diplomacy, but would be too cumbersome to wear in combat.
That's exactly why she prepared this amazing outfit for this monumental war, which once again consists of a purple traditional Chinese dress with prints of Jolly Roger of the Kuja Pirates. To no one's surprise, she managed to look both a supermodel and the ruthless fighter she is at the same time, meaning that this outfit not only looks absolutely gorgeous on Hancock, but it's also comfortable enough to wear use superhuman abilities with no real problems.
2 The original outfit
A legendary outfit that can be seen wearing on many occasions
- Worn in: Amazon Lily Arc, Post-War Arc, Return to Sabaody Arc and Egghead Arc
In the SBS column for volume 69, Eiichiro Oda revealed that Boa Hancock is the most difficult human character he's ever had to draw, mostly because of the pressure of having to create the most beautiful woman in the world. This pretty much confirms that he put a lot of thought and effort into Hancock's look, and it certainly paid off when he took a look at the first outfit he ever drew her in.

One Piece: Franky's Best Outfits, Ranked
Cyborg Franky is a style icon among the Straw Hats of One Piece due to his unique hair and design. Here are some of his outfits that stood out the most.
Hancock's original outfit it's incredibly iconic and a big part of what made it so popular One piece character. This shade of red looks amazing on her and complements her long dark hair. Her baggy sarong features detailed patterns as she showcases her main battle tools, while her long legs and white cape tie it all together as she effectively makes her look both a respected empress and a powerful pirate captain .
1 Stampede outfit
A reflection of Hancock's personality that also looks absolutely stunning on her
- Worn in: Cider Guild Arc and One Piece: Stampede
It seems almost sacrilegious to claim that Boa Hancock's best outfit wasn't designed by Eiichiro Oda himself, but by Toei Animation for one of their non-canon films. It may sound strange, but the truth is that the dress she wore One Piece: Stampede (and in the Cidre Guild filler arc) is one of the most incredible pieces of clothing ever designed for this franchise.
Yin and Yang is a concept from Chinese philosophy that suits Boa Hancock quite well, as she is a tough and fearsome pirate who in reality is much kinder and more romantic than she may initially appear. So, the idea of giving her a black and white dress that reflects this complex aspect of her personality is quite brilliant.
But that's not all because behind all the potential symbolism is a stunningly beautiful dress with a red and black cape and purple sash that looks even better on Hancock than her original red outfit. Not to mention she is heavily featured as one of the main characters of One Piece: Stampede (especially during the climax of the movie), so this detailed and effective outfit was cemented as one of the most memorable among fans.
