Hill kicked four goals in the opening half and while he couldn’t add to his tally in the second half he was still the most damaging man in the forward half of the game.
Every time Collingwood surged forward it was all eyes on Hill as he diced his way through defenders.
He put his mark on the contest late in the second quarter when he launched onto the shoulders of Brandon Starcevich.
He finished the contest with four goals, nine score involvements, 18 disposals and five tackles.
Zac Bailey emerged as the early front runner to take home the coveted award with two sensational first quarter goals.
The game was wide open in the first half with a staggering 18 combined goals being kicked while both teams combined for seven goals in the second half.
Keidean Coleman had his hands on everything for the Lions and finished with 26 disposals while Collingwood star Nick Daicos racked up disposals at will as he ended with a game high 29 touches.
Jordan de Goey was kept relatively quiet by Brisbane’s Josh Dunkley, but popped up to kick two monster goals. One at the end of the first quarter, the second coming in the final term to put Collingwood back in front in the dying stages.
