How to use snowmen
The most notable features of the Bone Chill event mode are Snowmen and piles of snow skulls that you can find scattered around the map. Snowmen are mostly harmless – they may move occasionally, but they won't hurt you. In fact, snowmen can be very useful.
Both slayers and survivors can jump inside the snowmen, giving the Slayers the Undetectable status effect and giving the Survivors a way to hide under the Slayer's nose. Remember that Slayers can use their basic attack to destroy snowmen, can damage any Survivor hiding inside.
All this assuming you're not dealing with a Bait Snowman: these malevolent creatures look just like regular snowmen and will try to scare you screaming and exploding whenever a survivor or killer approaches them. This sends a notification to all players on the map, so watch out for approaching a snowman you haven't seen before. If you keep an eye on them, Snowman decoys will sometimes twitch and open their mouths while sitting still, allowing you to play around them.
Snow skulls
But if you see a suspicious Snowman, how do you deal with him without giving away your position? That's where the snow skulls come in – interacting with a bunch of snow skulls will give you seven snow skulls which you can throw at your opponents, your teammates and any snowman you see.
Snowmen who are hit by a snow skull will be destroyed, though both regular Snowmen and Snowman Decoys will respawn over time.
If you feel like playing some tricks yourself, you can interact with a bunch of snow skulls while you have all seven snow skulls to exchange them for a snowman instantly. You can put the Snowman on or off instantly with the push of a button, allowing you to play mind games with your opponent, and you can choose to leave the Snowman behind, intentionally creating a snowman decoy.
As a bonus, if you craft a snowman decoy as a survivor, your colleagues can see his aura.
Unique Bloodweb Items
The entity decided to give everyone in the Mist some holiday gifts, showing that even multidimensional horrors can feel the holiday spirit. Survivors and Slayers alike can find a new offering, Mistletoe Fingers, which will give you extra blood points for Bone Chill event actions. But that's not all: you'll start the Trial with six Snow Skulls, and an additional chest will appear somewhere on the map.
Speaking of chests, some Chests from all trials during Bone Chill will become Winter Chests. Winter Chests will offer rarer items than usual, with a chance to contain a Winter Party Starter – an exclusive survivor item that works identically to the Survivor Perk Flashbang. If you can't find any Winter Chests to loot, don't worry – while Bone Chill lasts, you can also find Winter Party Starters in Bloodweb for all Survivors.
