How to farm gold in Age of Empires Mobile
In Age of Empires Mobilethere are three methods for farming gold: building gold mines, building workshops at resource points, and completing expedition objectives.
Gold mines become available once you reach chapter fifteen of the campaign. At level one, a mine produces 400 gold per hour, but when maxed out at level 30, it generates 20,000 gold per hour, eliminating the need for additional farming.
Resource points on the world map can also produce substantial amounts of gold. When you send troops to these points, they will start mining, which usually takes an hour, although it can take longer depending on the level of the resource point. Be careful though, as these points are vulnerable to enemy attacks while your troops are farming gold.
Tap the magnifying glass button next to the Explore icon (above the Show Chat tab). This will allow you to search for high level gold resource points to build a workshop.
Also, by playing the Battlefield Survivor mini-game in Expedition mode, you increase your passive gold gain every time you complete an objective. Starting at around 1,000 gold per hour, idle rewards become progressively more lucrative based on playing time.
Gold is readily available in Age of Empires Mobile, offering various ways to acquire it. Here are some of the most convenient ways to get extra gold:
- Tavern: Using the regular or elite recruiting menu often rewards you with large amounts of gold bars.
- Common tribes: Attacking small enemy troops on the world map can yield additional gold.
- Event Center Rewards: Completing solo or team objectives in events like the Imperial Path can yield thousands of gold bars.
- Gifts of the Alliance: Joining an Alliance allows you to passively earn gold. When a teammate hits a milestone, you receive gifts that often include valuable resources like gold.
- Buy gold: You can buy gold in the game store by exchanging various currencies such as Alliance Coins.
When opening Resource Chests, you must manually select gold from the available rewards. Otherwise, you may receive other resources.
How to increase gold storage capacity
To increase your gold storage capacity in Age of Empires Mobileupgrade the Warehouse by investing resources or completing Economy Research at the University. If you neglect this upgrade, any excess gold will be vulnerable to theft, making it available for other players to loot.
Gold bars will remain in your inventory as a potential gold resource. You can manually convert them to coins from the inventory menu whenever you are out of gold. If you do not need this resource, it is best to avoid trading your ingots, as they are safe in your inventory and cannot be looted by other players.
