Disney Dreamlight Valley has launched a new gift-giving event that will be available until the end of the year. Called The Gift of Giving, the recently debuted promotion offers Disney Dreamlight Valley players an opportunity to engage in some holiday themed activities.

Gameloft's hit life-sim adventure has held holiday-themed events every year since its September 2022 Early Access release. For the 2023 holiday season, Disney Dreamlight Valley offered hidden festive tasks that players could complete to earn a variety of crafting materials for a limited time.

A year later, Gameloft is doing something similar with the recently released The Gift of Giving event, which started on Wednesday, December 18th. The promotion, which was first announced as part of the Disney Dreamlight Valley Sew Delightful update brings back the festive wrapping paper material that can be used to create holiday themed furniture. The furniture players can create this way are ideal for hosting a holiday dinner, according to the patch notes attached to the Sew Delightful update.

The new festive wrapping paper can be found scattered around Scrooge McDuck's shop in Disney Dreamlight Valley during the event. Gift of Giving also introduces some Feast Fish that have a random chance of appearing in bodies of water. Players will be able to recognize them by the color of the water wave, which will be green and red. The usual white, blue, and gold ripples will still appear during the event, just at a reduced frequency.


Another new feature debuting as part of Gift of Giving is a limited-time quest to create a “Whimsical Snowman.” It is currently unclear if this will result in a different decoration than the ones shown in Disney Dreamlight ValleyIt's the Do You Wanna Build a Snowman mission. However, this new seasonal story can be started by interacting with a chest that appeared in the Plaza on December 18th.

More holiday gifts are coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley

In addition to the Gift of Giving, Disney Dreamlight Valley celebrate the holiday season in a few other ways. One of them is a new freebie called Festive Blue Star that can be claimed in the Premium Shop between December 18th and December 25th. Until this offer expires, players will be able to start collecting even more gifts, which will appear daily. under the Dreamlight Tree in the Dream Castle from December 25th to December 31st. Gameloft has yet to reveal what exact gifts it has in store for this time, but its track record suggests it will do so before the daily spawns begin.
