CAIRO: Egypt's annual urban consumer price inflation fell to 25.7 percent in July from 27.5 percent in June, a faster rate of decline than analysts had forecast, the country's statistics agency CAPMAS showed on Thursday. On a month-over-month basis, prices fell 0.4% in July from 1.6% in June. Food prices fell 0.3 percent in July, although they were still 28.5 percent higher than a year ago. Egypt is one of the world's largest importers of wheat, bringing in about 5.5 million tons annually to provide subsidized bread for millions of people.
