Fallout London is one of the largest and most sophisticated mods ever created for any video game. Essentially acting as a completely new entry into the Fall out series, the mod recreates London in a post-apocalyptic state and offers players hundreds of missions to complete, as well as a host of new characters, creatures, weapons, and factions to engage with. Perhaps the only known thing about the famous graffiti artist, Banksy, is that he is British. Throughout the game world, players can find his graffiti plastered on various walls and facades, including the opening section at London Bridge Station.

Some of the artwork references his documentary “Exit Through The Gift Shop,” while other paintings replicate similar pieces from the real world. Players can also take on a side quest where they have to track down and photograph all the “Pipsy” artwork in the city.

For the Doctor Who fans out there, Fallout London includes a reference to the Time Lord in the form of several “Mysterious Call Boxes” scattered around the city. Players are tasked with finding them all as a miscellaneous side mission.

Interacting with the call boxes will help you decipher a mysterious code, although the boxes are not easy to find. In the SF world a Fall outthe reference fits perfectly in the surrounding chaos, but it's a nice tribute to fans of the show.

5 Alice in Wonderland tea

of Lewis Carroll Alice in Wonderland is one of the most famous works of Victorian literature and continues to hold a highly respected place in pop culture today. Players can find a recreation of the Mad Hatter's tea party, one of the most famous scenes from the novel, by heading to the southeast bank of the river near Tower Bridge.

Here, players will find a long table with an assortment of strange objects on it. A unique item, the Barmy Tophat, is also left on the chair at the head of the table. Inspired by the design of the Mad Hatter, this special hat will give players a +2 Charisma boost.

4 007 Mysterious Stranger

The Mysterious Stranger is a fan favorite Fall out character that appears as part of a perk of the same name, occasionally providing lethal assistance when players use VATS. Fallout LondonThe unique spin on this feature is to model the Mysterious Stranger after the popular fictional spy James Bond.

Rather than the usual American detective outfit, the Mysterious Stranger now dons a black tuxedo and breaks out to his own Bond-esque tune. Originally based on a series of Ian Fleming novels, the James Bond the franchise is one of British cinema's most successful exports. The series is also referred to by some in-game collectible magazines after “005”.

3 Submarine U-96

Wartime Ghouls have a complex problem to solve

Those who played the original Fallout 4 he'll recall a quest where a stranded Chinese officer is found inside his submarine, many hundreds of years after the end of the war that sent him there. Fallout London has a series of similar missions, only this time the occupants belong to the German army.

The submarine's name, “U-96” is also a reference to a classic war film of the same name Das Bootwhich follows the crew of a German U-Boat crew. Players can interact with German ghouls on board and it leads to one of the best and most difficult side missions in the entire game.

The Tenpenny Tower quest line was a fan favorite Fallout 3. Not only could players blow up an entire city and watch it from the vantage point of a luxury penthouse, but they could also unleash a horde of feral ghouls on the occupants of the Tower. Overall, it was one of the most memorable locations in the game, with many hidden secrets.

Alistair Tenpenny, the owner of the hotel, appears in Fallout London like a younger version of himself. He owns a similar tower in Westminster, called Tenpenny Manor, and will task players with blowing up the London Eye in reference to the beloved Megaton quest.

Some references will be more familiar to Brits than those living abroad. A wide range of popular British brands are referenced throughout the game, such as Irn-Bru (Ion Bru), Prilladog (Pedigree), Singhsbury's (Sainsbury's), Greggori's (Greggs) and Fesco (Tesco).

Players can also spot the names of famous English footballers on the backs of hooligans' shirts, as well as recognize pet dog Churchill from the popular car insurance adverts of the same name. There are many other references to British pop culture: from red double-decker buses to Royal Mail letterboxes that occasionally come to life.
