WARNING: The following contains mild spoilers for face/strange volume 2 and face/strange fake, episode 1, “The Heroic Spirit”, which is now broadcasting on Crunchyrol.

Fate is no stranger to ensembles – a necessary by -product of his Battle Royale frame – and Fate/straray fake could get to have the biggest distribution so far as they progress. However, among the eclectic mixture of masters and servants, is the central protagonist, Ayaka Sajyou, which could be the most fascinating, the reasons for stretching from the beginning of the franchise.

The fantastic visual novel of Kinoko Nasu, Fate/Stay NightIt was launched on Windows in 2004, telling the story of Shirou Emiya and his participation in the War of the Holy Grail on three distinct routes. However, fans for a long time are aware of a much earlier version of that story that has never been, one that reflects strangely in the iconography of this new adaptation, Fate/straray fake.

The fate that was not meant to be

fate-prototype

Fate/prototype is a unique look at the early stages of FateIts development, whose decoration, distribution and premise were distinct enough to live their own life in fandom. Prototype It was never expanded in a complete story, but a prequel novel was written, and an animated short film showed what the story showed. Was animated in 2011 by the Leche Studio, the same team in the back Carnival ghostType-Moon satirical comedy series.

Instead of being placed in Fuyuki, Japan, Prototype It was to take place in Tokyo and will not be the fifth war of the Holy Grail, but only the second. The distribution retains some similarities, such as Lancer, Archer and a sadistic prototype of Rin Tohsaka, but the biggest noted are the two main characters. Ayaka Sajyou was protagonist, not Shirou, and Saber was a man instead of a woman, though, without a doubt, King Arthur.

Ayaka's story in the prototype

Like Shirou, the background story of Ayake is a tragedy, who lost her father and – as far as she knows – her sister and fearing that her own life will end soon. However, while Shirou was blinded by the existence of the Grail War and threw his head into it, Ayaka knew too well about the ritual and tried to run away from him. Unfortunately, the Grail War draws her and she gets to call Saber by chance, even when Lancer is about to kill her.

An approximate sketch of what would have been the whole story is detailed not only in the summary of anime, but also in an accompanying art book. Pouring details can see a lot of narrative beats that will be subsequently incorporated in the three routes of Fate/Stay Night. Exam It works unlimited Bladeor Saber's corruption similar to the events in The feeling of heaven.

What ayaka fate/straray fake brings

The odd fake fake the visual teaser

Ayaka Sajyou with which the public meets this year's most recent Fate adaptation may not be the same character as in Prototypebut its role is spiritually similar in crucial ways. First of all, so far it has been characterized by her desire to run away from the Grail War and to reject her role in it. In addition, Sabre may not be King Arthur, but Richard a lion heart is still excavaur and, along with Ayaka, their dynamics can finally be fully explored.

Compared to Prototype The version, Ayaka is a blond girl who arrived in Snowfield under the orders of a woman in the Einzbern family in Fuyuki to participate in the Grail War. However, apart from the Directive buried deeply in her brain, her memories are unclear, as her general identity in the first parts of the series of novels. However, a part of the story to be adapted soon in the anime is the key to revealing the mystery behind Ayaka Sajyou.

A story with Grizzly ghosts in Fuyuki

fate-ciudat-Fals-1-Gluga-Rosie

The interlude of Fate/straray fake Volume 2 takes place in Fuyuki and follows a group of students from the archery club at the Homurahara Academy, the same school that Shirou attended. Here, the reader finds the story “Red Scufița from Semina apartments”, A story with ghosts based on a real crime that took place in the titular apartment complex.

The story says that a young woman who always wore a red clothes has been abused by her parents. A nameless neighbor noticed the difficult situation of the girl, but was in charge of their own tasks, although he pressed the doors of the elevator for the girl, who could not raise her arms to press itself. When the parents committed suicide and tried to take the young woman with them, she ran to the neighbor for help, who initially ignored her requests until she could. At the opening of the door, he was greeted by the bloody girl, asking him to press the button.

Ayaka and Red Scufița

As the novel continues to develop, much of the ghost story is beautified, but from Ayaka's point of view, it is clear that the story has a great truth. Ayaka is not only followed by the voice in her head that guides her to participate in the Grail War, but also followed by the image of a girl … a girl with a red hood. It is even alluded to the episode earlier, when she receives directions from the store official and asks if any of the motels have a lift.

The implication is that regardless of the past from which Ayaka runs, it is related to Semina Apartments and the girl with the red hood. She could be the mysterious neighbor in that story, or something even more twisted. Between the ghost that follows her, the Einzbern woman who runs her and the servant she got to be a master, Ayaka could be the most unlucky Fate protagonist over a time. The more reason why Fate/straray fake I can't come pretty quickly.
