Fieldwork for the Sanctuary of the Guardians in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

The Sanctuary of the Guardians is the first fieldwork you'll come across after arriving in Giza Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. After entering the blue tent to meet Gina's friend, players will progress through The Idol of Ra main quest and also trigger the Fieldwork quest.

As Indy heads into a Nazi-infested area called the Great Sphinx, he has to dress up as a worker to blend in. After purchasing the outfit and all the necessary equipment, Indiana and Gina will explore the tomb and solve some mirror puzzles.

At the start of the field work the Sanctuary of the Guardians in Indiana Jones and the Great Circlethe map will lead you to the Great Sphinx area to meet Gina. Enter the tomb entrance to find a worker's clothes. Read the document nearby to find out what the next step is.

To unlock the door, you will need a gold locket and a lighter, as the tomb is very dark. Exit the tomb and follow the marked area on the map to find the locket, but be sure to give the soldier the bottle he asked for so as not to look suspicious. Then go to the merchant marked on the map and buy from her Easier to have a light source inside the tomb.

If you return to the tomb after retrieving the locket, Gina will comment on how dark it is, forcing you to go to the merchant. Therefore, it is recommended to take the lighter before returning.

After you pull the first lever and realize it's a trap, use the whip on the hook found above and slowly drop down to the hole below the hook you pulled earlier. Crawl through it and climb onto the higher platform using the whip. Go forward and pull the chain to open the door and continue exploring with Gina until Indy stumbles upon a mirror puzzle.

How to solve the first mirror puzzle in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

As you take a picture of the dark gold mask, you will get a hint that it is locked behind a mechanism controlled by light. The goal of solving the puzzle is to illuminate the two light-sensitive discs located near the stairs below the golden mask.

There are four mirrors, two near the entrance and two near the throne, and the two disks.

The first step is to face the mirrors away from the entrance and rotate them so that the light beam hits the opposite mirror. So (1) should point to (3) and (2) should point to (4).

Next, head to the mirrors near the entrance and shine the beams of light on the disks located under the golden mask near the stairs. Shine (4) on (5) next to stairs and shine (3) on (6). After a short scene, Gina and Indy will be trapped in a room full of scorpions and must find a way out.

How to find an exit in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

Use the lighter to light Gina's torch as she will use it to scare away the scorpions. Next, pull the chains nearby to unlock a room full of rubble and pick up the lantern next to the skeleton, then light it. Gina will comment on a weakly destroyed wall that could be the way out.

Now that Indy has scorpion protection, head to the opposite side of the room to find a hidden door with a torch holder on the side. Place it there and turn around to pull the lever behind the column. Enter the room to grab the heavy metal weapon, then travel to where Gina is standing to break the wall. Continue through the scorpions until a second puzzle appears.

How to solve the Statue of Light puzzle from Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

This second mirror puzzle (Statue of Light) is easier than the first. The goal is to illuminates the two discs located on the statue in the middle of the room.

Approach the mirror and shine the beam of light into the upper right mirror. Unfortunately, the door is broken, so Indy will help Gina climb through the hole. The reporter will slide a mirror under the door to use it.

Approach the mirror again and shine it on the top left mirror to unlock the camera. Grab the mirror and place it on the pedestal to shine on the disc of the statue. To light the second disc, guide the light beam outside and shine it on the mirror Gina is holding. This will complete the Statue of Light puzzle.

Keep exploring until you reach a room full of scorpions and a beam of light. Help Gina get back up so she can control the light beam and protect Indy from the Scorpions. Climb the broken column and jump to the ledge to start sliding to the right. Use the whip to jump to the other side, then go up the stairs to join Gina.

Go forward and grab the Stela Protector at the exit. Indy and Gina will eventually reach the tomb entrance. Exit the tomb and watch a scene to end the field work mission for the Guardian Sanctuary.
