Summary
- For a long time, Fortnite was plagued by Marvel crossovers while leaving DC in the dark.
- This has finally started to change, with a lot of old skins finally returning to the Item Shop.
- This includes Starfire, who has not been seen in Fortnite for over 800 days.
Fortnite's never-ending supply of Marvel skins and cosmetics has finally been cut short as DC skins, including Beast Boy and Starfire, have begun to return to the Item Shop.
Since becoming one of the biggest online games of all time, Fortnite has made a name for itself through its many, many crossovers and collaborations. From Skibidi Toilet (yes, really) to Peter Griffin, Epic has made it clear that it's willing to work with just about anyone with a recognizable IP. But that doesn't mean they don't play favorites.

We'll run out of things to redo, so we'll redo the remakes.
In recent chapters, Fortnite has teamed up with one company more than the rest – Disney. This makes sense given how closely the two work together and how much money has changed hands, but it seems to have had the sad side effect of putting DC on the back-burner, resulting in an almost complete silence from the world of Detective Comics .
Starfire returns to Fortnite after more than 800 days
Fortunately for anyone tired of seeing Marvel's band of heroes, that's finally starting to change. In recent weeks, DC skins like Catwoman and Batman have started appearing in the Item Shop again, suggesting that some sort of deal has been struck for DC to make its big comeback.
Most recently, this has led to the return of Beast Boy and, more interestingly, Starfire. Beast Boy hasn't been away from the Item Shop for too long, his last appearance being December 3rd, 2023, but it's a whole different story with Starfire. As pointed out by Twitter user and Fortnite trusty ShiinaBR, Starfire's last appearance in Fortnite was 830 days ago.
While DC's absence from the Fortnite Item Shop has been noticeable for some time and discussed by fans at large, it's a little surprising to see how much time has passed for certain skins. While Beast Boy fared a little better, Starfire makes it very clear how much Epic has favored Marvel heroes over the last few years – hopefully it will continue to bring back the full roster.
