Healer is a quintessential MMO role and in The Throne And Freedom the healer is one of the most important members of any party. One of the problems with healers in MMOs is that they usually fall short when it comes to completing solo content, but in T&L, your damage is reduced from your base stats – meaning you can still solo content, even if you go straight into Wisdom for mana regen. You will still deal a lot of damage with your Wand and Bow combo.
The Throne and the Freedom: The Complete Guide to Gear Enchanting
We say Wand and Bow because that's the best Healer option we've found so far in the game, but Wand/Staff is also viable. We will update this guide with more information as we and other players become familiar with the game.
This is a working build and progression guide for a Healer in Throne And Liberty. We will update this guide with a final version of the game.
This should be considered a leveling build guide.
Wand/Bow Healer Build
Let's dive right into the best Healer build we've found so far: the Wand and Bow combo.
Rod
This is the source most of your heals – but interestingly, not all – and also offers some decent AoE clears for solo content.
The wand comes with two fantastic healing abilities available right from the start that are ideal for a Healer leveling build.
Quick healing |
A simple spell that restores a percentage of the health of targeted allies. Can be repeated twice, quickly. The absolute core ability of any form of healing. |
Clay's salvation |
A large AoE heal that applies heal to all party members in range. This has a longer cooldown and should be used more sparingly. It can be the difference between wiping out a dungeon or managing to survive. |
If you are in a group or guild that is active and completing content, you can get started leveling these Healing skills as a priority.
If instead you're running through solo content, try to level up as fast as possible while still trying to win mastery experience on the Wand, you might want to try to max out some of the damage oriented Wand abilities.
The main source of damage comes from Curse the debuff you inflict on enemies with a combination of your abilities and your own Perfect defense skill, Chaotic Shield.
Touch of Despair |
Applies a curse debuff on one enemy, stacks up to three times. This applies damage over time and a weakness debuff that increases your allies' damage against the target. |
Cursed explosion |
Causes an explosion that deals additional damage to cursed enemies – i.e. extends the duration of the curse. |
Chaotic Shield |
If you hit a Perfect of defense, Chaotic Shield inflicts Curse of Despair on all nearby enemies and reduces the cooldown of curse abilities. |
The main rotation is to stack Touch Of Despair then use Curse Explosion to take out groups of enemies together. Chaotic Shield provides extra AoE clarity as well as healing when the ability transforms into “Healing Spell” after hitting a Perfect defense.
For the Wand, you want to go down
Recovery
mastery tree, level up
Healing passives
– especially “Devotion and Void”, and focus on
Mana Regen
equipment and accessories. Mana becomes a problem when spamming skills.
bow
So why is the Bow such a good companion for the Wand? Mainly because it offers high single-target damage for clearing content on its own, but also has a wide range of Support features that provide ailments and cleansing for your party.
The Healing Touch |
Gives a healing regeneration effect to allies, can be stacked up to 3 times. |
Nature's blessing |
Increases both health and mana regeneration and removes debuffs. |
Purifying touch |
Remove a debuff from a targeted ally – if you successfully remove a debuff, grant additional attack speed to that ally. |
In addition to healing abilities, we also take Captivating arrow as it will root enemies in place and even for bosses that are immune to traps, they will instead be challenged with Chain debuff.
Build Level 50 Healer for PvE dungeons/bosses
Once you've managed to hit level 50, you can start really customizing your builds. You can have up to three slots of saved skills. This build is a pure healing build for PvE dungeons and party content.

Of course, this drastically reduces your damage.
