Gege teases who Yuji ends up with

Kaisen's Jujutsu The final volume is officially out, and with it, fans were treated to a new epilogue chapter that only added to the series' already established ending. It's safe to say that JJK The epilogue was incredibly exciting as fans saw the focus shift to the likes of Panda, Nobara, Sukuna, Uraume, and last but not least, the story's protagonist, Yuji Itadori. For fans who expected to see Yuji in battle after the war, this wasn't such a good chapter.

However, for readers who wanted Yuji's romantic relationships to be developed, this was definitely massive. This chapter gave fans a look at Yuji's potential partner, and while nothing definitive was revealed by the author, the clues were right in front of them.

Along the course of JJKfans haven't seen Yuji Itadori have a romantic partner. This shouldn't come as a surprise to fans, as the story actually takes place for a very short period of time. In his world JJKnot even a year has passed since the beginning of the story, and as such, not many relationships change in this short period of time. When we consider how troubled these times were, it becomes especially impossible for these characters to develop their personal relationships. As such, Yuji, who was alone at the start of JJK, continued to be so until the end.

Do you still like the snow, Itadori-kun? – Ozawa

While Yuji was without any romantic partner JJK for the vast majority of the story, that certainly doesn't mean the author didn't allude to things. As expected, the author dropped some hints about Yuji and Nobara being romantic partners, which was just there for the sake of it. It was made clear in the story many times that there was absolutely nothing between these two characters and most fans interpret the relationship as a sibling-like bond for the most part. Arguably, Yuji and Megumi also had an interesting relationship, but once again, at the end of things, this relationship was portrayed as more brotherly than anything else.

There is only one character that Yuji was attracted to Gege when it comes to a romantic subplot and that is Ozawa. For fans who don't remember, Ozawa was one of Yuji's schoolmates that he really enjoyed hanging out with. She always had a crush on him, and he was one of the few people who was really nice to her. Ozawa went back inside JJK at some point later, and although he intended to confess his feelings to her, it never happened. To the surprise of fans, Ozawa returned in JJK's epilogue and once again had the opportunity to spend time with Yuji Itadori.

JJK'S The epilogue opened with Ozawa, which was a surprise to fans. She returned to her hometown and after spending many years there with a completely different physical appearance, she was seen frustrated that no one would ever recognize her. In a way, Ozawa was frustrated by how shallow people can be, but her bubble burst when Yuji Itadori appeared in front of her and recognized her immediately. Then again, while Yuji's presence was a surprise to her, the fact that he recognized her certainly wasn't. This is simply because Yuji is a very perceptive character and at the same time not at all shallow.

Yuji even mentioned his interest in her a long time ago when he was in school. For Yuji to immediately recognize Ozawa wasn't shocking at all. For Ozawa, however, this was a moment that troubled her. But at the same time, she admitted that this was her chance to rekindle a relationship with Yuji after their time in high school.

Yuji is about to become an adult! – Megumi and Nobara

As Yuji was there to clean up old business after his grandfather's death, this was the perfect time for him to meet her often and build on a solid relationship. The author cleverly uses the metaphor of enjoying snow here. At the beginning of the chapter, fans were able to see a flashback where both Yuji and Ozawa are seen observing the snow. They both admit that they love snow, and the fact that they share this moment together definitely adds a special importance to it. In the epilogue, Ozawa asks Yuji if he still likes snow, to which he replies that he absolutely does. For Ozawa, this is essentially a big test, because she wants to see if Yuji still enjoys spending time with her, just like they used to watch the snow as children, or not. Fortunately for her, Yuji's response is positive and a positive relationship could be built between these two characters from here on out.

Did Yuji end up with Ozawa?

At the end of it JJK epilogue, fans didn't get to see much of Yuji and Ozawa because there were other characters who took the spotlight. Yuji and Ozawa only got to talk for a short time and it is unclear what happened to them after this conversation. Considering that Yuji had been there for a while, it's possible that they ended up talking a lot more and getting closer to each other. But, it remains to be seen if Yuji and Ozawa continued dating or not. Fans know nothing about this development in the story. It can be said that the relationship between Yuji and Ozawa was left ambiguous by the author and this was probably done on purpose to keep them on the edge of their seats.

That said, the fact that Ozawa was reintroduced in the epilogue and that her feelings for Yuji were highlighted once again definitely lends more weight to the idea that they could have ended up together a few years later. Fans were treated to a flashback to 62 years, but unfortunately no clue was given as to what happened to Yuji and Ozawa. It is entirely possible that they ended up marrying and having children and possibly even grandchildren. However, as of now, there is absolutely no confirmation. All fans can take away from the epilogue is that their relationship was brought back into focus and they developed it to a certain extent.

Whether they ended up dating after or not is something that cannot be said for sure. But, what can be said is that the author definitely hinted at it a lot, because otherwise the epilogue would be there to serve absolutely no purpose.

Jujutsu Kaisen's epilogue was released with the final volume. JJK's final volume appears in Japan on December 25, 2024. The English version of the volume will be published sometime in 2025.
