Genshin Impact revealed official gameplay footage of Mavuika, Citlali, and Lan Yan in the developer's latest live stream, as well as Lantern Rite skins for Hu Tao and Xiangling. Although version 5.3 will not add a new area to Natlan, it is expected to be one of the most ambitious Genshin Impact content patches. In addition to Mavuika, Citlali, and Lan Yan, players will finally be able to obtain Pyro Traveler during the Archon Quest. While version 5.3 will close out the main story in Natlan, it will also include a story quest for Mavuika and a tribal chronicle for Citlali.
The Rite of the Lantern will take place in the second half of Version 5.3 and Genshin Impact players will be able to get a total of 20 interconnected wishes for free through login rewards and the in-game email system. They will also be able to invite a 4-star Liyue character of their choice, including Lan Yan. The controversial Chronicled Wish from Version 4.5 is set to appear in Version 5.3 as well – this time featuring Liyue characters who haven't had a replay in a while, such as Shenhe and Ganyu.

The developer's live stream showcased the combat and exploration gameplay of the future Genshin Impact characters.
