Gran Turismo 7Its 1.52 update is just around the corner and with it comes some new additions to the racing game. The patch will be available to all players and introduces them to three Japanese-branded cars Gran Turismo 7as well as new events for World Circuits and other additions.

Gran Turismo 7 had a bumpy launch due to server issues and the announcement of microtransactions only after reviews had already gone live. Since 2022, Polyphony Digital has released free updates almost monthly, constantly adding new content such as cars, events, circuits and other quality of life improvements. Previous Gran Turismo 7 updates usually add new vehicles to the game, and some even bring circuits, such as the Eiger Nordwand Circuit, which was last seen in Gran Turismo 6.


Update 1.52 for Gran Turismo 7 launches today for PS5 and PS4 at 11pm PST and will add three new Japanese sports cars, including the '04 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR GSR, the '24 Nissan GT-R Premium edition T-spec, and the white Toyota. Hiace Van DX '16. With this latest update, the racing game will have a total of 517 cars to choose from, an incredible feat when we consider the effort required to produce new cars for Gran Turismo 7. Of these, three cars are special editions in the game.

In addition to the vehicles, the update will bring new World Circuits events: the Sunday Cup for the Tokyo Expressway, the Nissan GT-R Cup for the Circuit de Sainte-Croix and the Evolution Meeting for the Kyoto Driving Park, Autodromo Nazionale Monza and the Colorado Springs Circuits. The cafe will also introduce an additional menu for Gran Turismo 7this time a Collection: Audi, only available to collectors level 42 or higher. Other additions in the update include Gran Turismo AI agent Sophy being featured in Brands Hatch – Grand Prix Circuit and Dragon Trail – Seaside Trails, and Chicago being highlighted in Curation presented by Scapes.


Polyphony Digital has provided admirable support for Gran Turismo 7but what can really transform gaming performance and visuals is the upcoming PlayStation 5 Pro. Following its announcement, Sony released a list of games that will receive technical upgrades on the PS5 Pro, improving FPS, graphics, or both. One of the games set to receive upgrades on the PS5 Pro is Gran Turismo 7with promises of 8K graphics in fidelity mode or 60 FPS with ray-tracing reflections during gameplay in what will likely be performance mode.

The PS5 Pro is scheduled for release on November 7. Then, gamers can see if Sony keeps its promise to improve even more Gran Turismo 7its images without compromising performance or if it really offers the legendary 8K resolution.
