GTA 6 leak apparently recorded from Rockstar offices resurfaces, nobody cares

Summary

  • 2025 has just begun and we already have a new leak for GTA 6.

  • Calling it new might be a stretch, though, since it's reportedly being filmed in 2021.

  • In fact, calling it a leak might be a stretch, as it really doesn't show anything new.

A Grand Theft Auto 6 leak that was apparently recorded from the offices of Rockstar Games in 2021 has resurfaced, but it shows so little that fans have a hard time caring.

As you'd expect from what will be one of the biggest video games of all time (at least until GTA 7), there have been plenty of leaks for GTA 6 since we knew it was officially in development as the next untitled game in the series. While the biggest data leaks are long behind us since the infamous data breach of 2022, it looks like there are still more to come.

The most anticipated game is not an actual prize, but it still has an interesting history.

Just one day into 2025, the year GTA 6 is supposed to be released, a new leak for GTA 6 has started circulating on social media. There are plenty of stories about the leak, with some suggesting it was filmed by a Rockstar Games employee sometime in 2021, leaving plenty of questions about how it was kept for so long.

While it looks like a very interesting setup for a GTA 6 leak, the end result is unfortunately a little underwhelming. The video is incredibly shaky and really only gives us a blurry look at the inside of Rockstar's office, also showing a PS5 dev kit sitting on a table next to a computer running the game.

In terms of what is shown about Grand Theft Auto 6, there really isn't that much. Twitter user GTAVInewz shared a screenshot of the leak, which shows Lucia in what appears to be her default clothes standing against a wall. We don't see the UI or anything new from Vice City, so it's a little disappointing considering how much risk must have been taken to get the footage.

The general reaction from GTA fans was bewilderment that anyone would risk their job for such an undeniably pointless leak. Yes, if this had been shared in 2021, it could have had quite an impact, but it resurfaced so many years after the fact that it basically gives us nothing interesting to talk about. But hey, it's definitely a GTA 6 leak and we can't complain too much about that.
