Hideki Kamiya regrets insulting Okami's fan

Hideki Kamiya, a video game director who is notoriously inflammatory and controversial on Twitter, has expressed his regret for insulting a fan of Okay on the social media platform. original Okay is considered to be one of Capcom's cult classics and passion projects due to its unique art style and gameplay. Hideki Kamiya is well known in the gaming industry for directing a number of Capcom games, including this one. He is also one of the most honest directors in the industry along with Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada because he's not afraid to speak his mind about things or block Twitter fans who annoy him.

While Kamiya is known as the face of Platinum Games, he recently left the studio and returned to Capcom to form Clovers, a successor studio to Clover Studio from 20 years ago. The announcement of this new studio coincided with the announcement of a Okay sequel to Game Awards 2024. He usually refuses to answer questions that are sent in English, and while some questions are asked in good faith, others are sent to purposely provoke him, causing Kamiya to usually block that user on Twitter.

Following this comment, Okay the director was asked by fans if he might consider unblocking them from Twitter. In typical Kamiya fashion, he mostly answered these requests with a resounding no, calling some people “insects” and asking them to leave if they bombarded him with questions that annoyed him.
