How to beat Sebastian in Fantasian Neo Dimension

The Besting Sebastian Quest is unlocked

From the first moment you meet Sebastian Fantasy Neo Dimensionhe has a chip on his shoulder. He doesn't like Leo and rightfully so. Although even all of Cheryl's forgiveness isn't enough to quell Sebastian's anger.

So when the chance finally presents itself, he challenges Leo to a duel in the coliseum, a fight to see exactly who has the honor should be tainted. Prompted by the regent, Garland, it's not like Leo could say no. Sebastian doesn't really like to play fair.

While fighting Sebastian in your very first encounter with him, that was hardly enough of a beating on Leo to keep him satisfied. Not, his satisfaction comes as part of the Satisfying Sebastian quest. It makes sense.

To unlock this mission, you must have first rescued Cheryl and Kina from the wormhole, and then you must have defended the palace from the mechteria infestation. Immediately after completing the last quest, talking to Sebastian will make him give his challenge. You go to the arena, you go.

If you talk to Sebastian before rescuing Cheryl, he will reward you with a Vibran secret stonewhich increases the EXP you get in battle.

He beats Sebastian

Just like your initial fight with Sebastian back on Uzra, this opens as a one-on-one battle. Take a few turns to soften each other up before Sebastian decides to reveal his secret move – his twins. It turns out that Sebastian is not a single individual at all, but triplets.

At this point, both Kina and Cheryl seem to give you a helping hand in this decidedly unfair battle. There is no healing or recovery between these phases, so try to keep Leo healthy in the first fight anyway.

Leo, Cheryl and Kina are the only party members you can use during this battle so don't worry about switching. Instead, make sure you have good gems equipped as well as powerful moves unlocked from the Growth Map.

Cheryl will have already unlocked her upgraded Divine Artifact by now, so make sure to invest in her Tension skill.

First, you'll want Gems to increase both attack and defense, so put some Emeralds and Rubies Leo and Cheryl. Sebastians can cast quite a few status effects on you like poison, slow, and mist, so equip Cheryl and Leo with gems to prevent this if you have them.

Kina, aside from the odd use of Holy, will be on healing duty throughout this fight. Cure and Resist will be some of her most used abilitieswhile having Heal all it is a massive help in keeping the party going. Barrier it's great here too, as it prevents debuffs from Hidden Gimmick and reduces damage taken from stronger attacks.

The Sebastians themselves follow a fairly standard pattern, alternating between charging formation and defensive formation. Here's what they do:

Load formation – The Sebastians line up and start charging, hitting each party member with Vital Strike on the next turn.
Defensive formation – Additional Sebastians stand in front of the main Sebastian and Guard, reducing the damage they take and making them impossible for Leo and Kina to hit the main Sebastian. Principal will also distribute Desperation.

This is their whole trick. While in defensive formation, you should take that time to heal and debuff The Sebastians. You can't bend the attacks around them either, so Cheryl's Knight Impact is one of the only moves that can hit all three right now. You can also use this period to cast Mist on them, making their attacks much more likely to miss.

That's mostly it. While The Hidden Gimmick attack is most dangerous for random status effects it can be resolved, as long as Kina isn't sealed, it can heal any party member anyway.

Main Sebastian will also use Phantom periodically to increase his evasion, so you should attack additional Sebastians during this time. The most important thing to focus on in this fight is to pick a single Sebastian and focus all your attacks on them to defeat them quickly.

Additional Sebastians have low attack, defense, and HP than the main Sebastian, making them easier to defeat.

Once a single Sebastian is defeated, those remaining will cast Despairincreasing its attack but dramatically decreasing its defense. At this point, just clean up the remains. Cheryl's Absolute Zero Voltage is great here, especially if you pre-charge it.

After they are defeated, Sebastian will admit that maybe Leo isn't as bad as he made him out to be and gives him a present ultimate fists for Zinikr as a reward.
