Did Dragon Age: The Veilguard reviews influence your decision to buy it?
Review aggregates are not a monolith. Individual sites have diverse groups of writers, even those who might (and do, spoiler!) disagree with each other's scores at times. Likewise, do the reviews for Dragon Age: The Veilguard make you feel better about picking it up? Or better yet the choice not to? Or pushed in one direction or another? Or perhaps they are completely irrelevant to your degree of interest?
While scarecrows don't sound very terrifying when you think about their actual function, this enemy is terrifying in every way, as its unnatural sudden movements are both shocking and disorienting. Keep your head down in this fight or the Scarecrow can trap you in a nightmare fight.
How to beat the scarecrow in haunts: You feel scared
Begin your quest by fast traveling to Hossberg Wetlandswhere you will have to search the swamp a possessive demon.
Follow your marker into a large open area of the swamp where you will trigger the spawn level 40 haunting: Scarecrow.
This enemy is weak to Fire but resist Cold.
Scarecrow he is imbued with cold and attacks quickly, so be aware of his position on the battlefield at all times to avoid exceptionally fast attacks.
The scarecrow will called Shades near the beginning of the fight (weak at Cold, resist Necrotic), which you should defeat before turning your attention to the Scarecrow.
Burning the Scarecrow is a great tactic as it will continue to deal damage over time (DoT) and slowly drain the health of this elusive enemy.
However, it's just as important to avoid the barrage of dangerous cold attacks in the form of a long, continuous beam, as well as chasing icy spheres and blizzard-like explosions.
Avoiding attacks is key here, as this enemy will devours HP if it hits you, that is it recovers its own HP by depleting yours.
Close the distance and perform powerful combo attacks, including detonations that can deal massive amounts of damage to The Scarecrow.
When the Scarecrow tries to defend herself, the attack continues to nullify its attempt and keep the creature vulnerable to subsequent hits.
If you stay close to your enemy and prevent them from landing too many counter attacks, this fight will end quickly.
