The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom features several minigames that measure up well against the series’ best. One of the game’s toughest minigames is the Slumber Dojo, found in Kakariko Village. The dojo offers Zelda multiple challenges, which unlock as you progress through the main story. The difficulty level of these challenges varies widely, with the upper tier offering some of the hardest encounters in the game. This guide will offer a complete walkthrough of every Slumber Dojo challenge in Echoes of Wisdom, as well as a complete list of Slumber Dojo rewards.

All Slumber Dojo Challenges and Rewards in Echoes of Wisdom
Slumber Dojo Challenges, Explained:
The Slumber Dojo is found in the northwestern corner of Kakariko Village. It is a wooden structure with a flag posted on the roof.
Other than the two
Heart Pieces
you gain, there is very little reason to take on the Slumber Dojo as soon as you can. The challenges will be far easier if you wait until later in the game, or at least until you have unlocked one of the powerful high-level combat Echoes, like the
Lynel
,
Darknut Lv 3
, or Moblin Lv 3. You cannot unlock the
Green Tunic
until you’ve completed almost every dungeon in the game.
There are 15 Slumber Dojo challenges in Echoes of Wisdom. Each challenge corresponds to specific locations or story beats. So, when you complete a certain main quest or dungeon, the corresponding challenge will unlock at the Slumber Dojo. So, this means that you will not be able to completely clear the Slumber Dojo until very late in the game. The fifteenth and final challenge will only become available once you have completed all 14 of the basic challenges.
Slumber Dojo Rewaesa, Explained:
Each Slumber Dojo challenge has two tiers of basic rewards. The first tier is a general reward for simply completing the challenge. The second tier is a bonus ‘Astounding‘ reward for mastering the challenge, i.e. completing the challenge within a specific time limit. For most of the challenges, these rewards will be general materials, like smoothie ingredients and monster parts.
Aside from the basic rewards, Zelda will also earn special rewards from the Slumber Dojo. These come at specific intervals, which are noted by the NPC in charge. These rewards are the best offered by the Slumber Dojo, and make the entire challenge worth the effort.

Blank-Slate Battle Walkthrough – Echoes of Wisdom
This Slumber Dojo challenge is the first you will likely face, and it sets expectations out of the gate. Because you are not allowed to use any outside items, you will have to rely on what is available in the dream – Metal Gear Zelda style. Echoes & Items OSP. This makes it considerably harder than it otherwise would be. For this battle, you don’t have to worry about any kind of loadout.
When you first enter the chamber, you’ll have an Octorok to the left, then a main chamber with a Spear Moblin, Keese, and Deku Baba. The only environmental Echo you’ll need is the rock. Follow these steps:
- Learn the Rock Echo, use it to defeat the Octorok, then Learn the Octorok Echo.
- Place at least two Octorok to focus on the Keese.
- Use Bind to pull the Deku Baba’s head.
- Place multiple Octorok to focus on Moblin.

All Outfits in Echoes of Wisdom (& How to Get Them)
Zelda can collect a wide range of clothing and outfits in Echoes of Wisdom. Here’s how to get them all.
Caromadillos’ Revenge Walkthrough – Echoes of Wisdom
This challenge begins with Zelda on one side of a chamber, separated by bars from a large group of Caromadillos and a Darknut Lv 2.
While there is a button on the ground that lowers the bars, do not press it from the start. Instead, pick your favorite high-level combat Echo and use the long-distance summoning (hold Y instead of tap) to place it on the other side of the bars. A Lynel Echo will take out all enemies in a matter of seconds.
The Darknut will sometimes not be defeated because it doesn’t activate. If this happens, wait until the Caromadillos are defeated, then press the button and approach.
Flow of Battle Walkthrough – Echoes of Wisdom
The Flow of Battle challenge is a bit tricky, especially if you take it on when it first becomes available. The general makeup of the challenge is two channels of water separated by a barrier. Zelda starts at the bottom, and has to make her way up each side and defeat all enemies. You can use all Echoes and Items to complete this challenge.
Because there are more enemies on the right side, we generally recommend heading up that side first. If you’ve unlocked the Zora Flippers, they can be helpful if you end up in the water, which you likely will. Heading up the right side, you’ll find two Strandtula and two Sea Urchin enemies. Use the empty Strandtula web strands to go as far north as you can.
The easiest way to take out the enemies on the right is using the Bow of MIght in Swordfighter Form. Relying on Echoes can often be too time-consuming, as there is no way to hurry them if they do not attack fast enough.
On the left side, use the planks of wood floating down to make your way north. There are three Deku Baba variants on this side. You can quickly defeat them by using Bind to pull their bulbs off. The biggest challenge here is the traversal, which may take a couple of attempts to get right.
Blank-Slate Battle: Wind Walkthrough – Echoes of Wisdom
This challenge puts a lot of stuff in front of you when you first enter the arena, but don’t let it overwhelm you.
The only tool you’ll really need is Bind. Even though this is a Blank-Slate battle, not having any items is barely noticeable if you simply use Bind to move each enemy into the center pit. This method works extremely well, and can end the battle in less than 30 seconds.

Moblins’ Revenge Walkthrough – Echoes of Wisdom
This is one of the easiest Slumber Dojo challenges, as it allows you to use all your Echoes.
When the round starts, summon your most powerful Echo, and enter Swordfighter Form. With the strongest Echoes, you can achieve this challenge in less than 10 seconds.
Floating on Fire Walkthrough – Echoes of Wisdom
Floating on Fire allows you to have access to all your Echoes and equipment, but you cannot use any Smoothies or Potions.
Here, Zelda will start on a platform in the center of a lake of lava. There are enemies around the edges of the arena, and two Tweelus in the lava itself. The best way to take this on, is to use an Ice Wizzrobe, which can hover anywhere it wants, and Swordfighter Form, which will allow you to use the Bow of Might.
From the center, make sure you check around you in a full 360 degrees. If you are missing an enemy, there is a Fire Keese that likes to hang out on the outer edge of the arena.
A Shock in the Dark Walkthrough – Echoes of Wisdom
A Shock in the Dark is another challenge that does not allow Zelda to use any type of drink. She can, however, use her Echoes.
When you first enter the arena, you’ll see it’s almost entirely covered in darkness. While you can use an Ignizol or some other type of fire-Echo to create light, it really isn’t necessary. You can use ZL to lock onto enemies, revealing their position in the dark. Summon one powerful Echo to help you in the darkness, then use Swordfighter Form to quickly dispatch your enemies.
You’ll have the two electricity-based enemies that are clearly visible. Then, you’ll have the Armos statue in the center of the arena; make sure to attack its back.
Finally, you’ll encounter the blue mushroom spider on a ledge on the left side of the room. These will be all the enemies in the darkened chamber.

Blank-Slate Battle: Ice Walkthrough – Echoes of Wisdom
The Blank-Slate Battle: Ice challenge is one of the tougher challenges at the Slumber Dojo. This is a Blank-Slate challenge, so Zelda does not have access to any of her items, including the Ice Spikes.
There are several options for completing this challenge. This method allowed us to achieve the ‘Astounding’ outcome:
- When you first enter the chamber, Learn the Brazier Echo on the left.
- Use Bind to push the first Freezard off the edge.
- Place a Brazier in the open slot between ice blocks near the next Freezard. This will destroy it.
- Use Braziers to melt the ice blocks on the left side of the next Freezard, then place one directly next to it.
- After turning left, push the first ice block forward, then push the right block so that it obstructs the view of the Freezard on the right.
- Push the last ice block so it obstructs the Freezard to the north.
- Learn the Table Echo, then climb the boxes and place a Brazier next to the Freezard on the right,
- Place a Table in front of the next ice blocks, allowing you to climb them and place a Brazier behind the next Freezard, There should only be three Freezards left.
- Jump on the table and push the ice block in front of the Freezard on top of the stack.
- Place a Brazier next to the Freezard on the ground.
- Push the ice block that is aligned with the Freezard on the left, so its view is obstructed,
- Use Bind to grab the Freezard on top of the stack, then drop it off the edge.
- Go around the back of the final Freezard and use Bind to drop it, or use a Brazier.

Revenge from the Skies Walkthrough – Echoes of Wisdom
Revenge from the Skies is another easier Slumber Dojo challenge. Zelda cannot use drinks, but she’ll have all her Echoes.
The best strategy here is to simply summon a powerful Echo, then use the Bow of Might to pick off each flying enemy. Doing this should work extremely quickly.
Blank-Slate Battle: Final Walkthrough – Echoes of Wisdom
Blank-Slate Battle: Final is the last Slumber Dojo challenge Zelda will have to face without any help. It is tough, but not as tough as the Ice challenge.
Because it shoots projectiles, the best place to start is by throwing Rocks at the Fire Octo in the rear corner of the lower area. Learning that will allow you to place Fire Octo Echoes to take out the Buzz Blob, Goo Specter and Keese.
Use Bind to move the Ghirro into the flames of the Fire Slug on the upper level.
Once you have multiple Echoes, climb to the top and place any Echo to start in on the Giant Goponga Flower. With that occupied, use Bind to pull the Deku Baba Lv 2.
Lastly, use a Buzz Blob to quickly take out the Fire Slug.

Trial of Flame and Ice Walkthrough – Echoes of Wisdom
The Trial of Flame and Ice will not let Zelda take in any drinks, but she may use any of her Echoes.
This challenge has two Dark Freezards, which can be incredibly annoying if you let them get close. However, they will only activate if you or an Echo get close. There is a Sword Moblin Lv 3 in the center of the arena as well, with two Fire Octos and a Lizalfos Lv 2 rounding things out.
Start by summoning a high-level Echo to keep the Moblin occupied. If you have a Lynel, this would be the time to use it. If you don’t have one, use a Sword Moblin Lv 3 or Darknut Lv 3. We then used Swordfighter Form to quickly take out the Fire Octos. This is when the Freezards noticed us.
If you can, use the Bow of Might to take out the Freezards from a safe distance. Your High-Level Echo should get a lot of attention, so keep them summoned if and when they go down. Once the Freezards are gone, you can get in close to whatever is left. Use Bind to keep any remaining threats still for your Echo to take out. Or, take them out yourself if you have any remaining energy.
Wizzrobe Gathering Walkthrough – Echoes of Wisdom
The Wizzrobe Gathering challenge allows Zelda to only use her Echoes, no drinks or potions.
This battle features the three Wizzrobe varieties: Fire, Ice, and Electric. You can summon any Echo you prefer. We used a Fire Wizzrobe, as it has the same abilities as the enemy. Zelda should use the Bow of Might in Swordfighter Form as long as she can.
The Fire WIzzrobe will be able to help take out the Electric and Ice Wizzrobes pretty fast. It is not as helpful at taking on its twin. You can summon an Ice WIzzrobe instead, but your best bet is to simply use the Swordfighter Form and focus on sending as many arrows as possible. You should easily finish the battle with the Astounding reward.

All Titans’ Gathering Walkthroughs – Echoes of Wisdom
There are three Titans’ Gathering gauntlets in Echoes of Wisdom‘s Slumber Dojo. These challenges pit Zelda against the bosses of each major dungeon, all in a row. They are the exact same bosses that Zelda faced in the dungeons, so you will have already defeated them by the time you take on this challenge. With this in mind, we will cover all three challenges here, with only a general reminder of a strategy for each boss. With the addition of the Lynel or Darknut Lv 3, these fights should prove far easier than the initial encounter.
Titans’ Gathering Walkthrough:
This gauntlet features the bosses of the first three dungeons: Suthorn Ruins, Jabul Ruins, and Gerudo Sanctum.
- The Seismic Talus is the first boss in the gauntlet. This boss has a small orb that moves locations on its body. Zelda or an Echo can attack the orb directly, or use Bind to pull it from the body. Once pulled, Zelda can attack for a few seconds.
- Vocavor, the second boss, has a vulnerable area on its back. When you first start, the entire arena is underwater. Use an Echo like Chompfin to aggressively target the vulnerable area. When it drops, use Swordfighter Form to attack it from the ground. This strategy works when parts of the arena are drained. Use Swordfighter Form to attack the top in dry areas, Chompfins when underwater.
- Morgryph is a mole-like enemy that features a sandpit arena. If you have the Gerudo Sandals, put them on at the start of the fight. Morgryph is always vulnerable, so using a Lynel, or another high-level Echo can shorten this fight immensely. When Morgryph flies, use arrows. When it goes underground, summon a large object like a Lava Rock for it to run into.
The Titans’ Gather Again Walkthrough:
This gauntlet features the three bosses from the Lands of the Goddesses: Eldin, Faron, and Lanayru Temples.
- Volvagia is the dragon-like boss of Eldin Temple. The only vulnerable area of this boss is the green orb around its neck. Whenever it pops up after flying into the lava, target the orb. Sometimes, if you cause enough damage, the orb will burst, offering a very small window to attack Volvagia’s body before it descends.
- Gohma is the spider-like boss of Faron Temple. This boss is more annoying than anything, mostly due to Echoes of Wisdom‘s less-than-stellar lock-on mechanism. Gohma has three green crystals on its legs which are vulnerable to lightning damage. Here, you want to summon an Electric WIzzrobe to target these points on the body. When all three crystals are hit, Gohma falls to the ground, completely vulnerable. Summon your best Echo at this time and attack with Swordfighter Form. You’ll have to repeat this process at least twice.
- Skorchill is the boss of Lanayru Temple. Skorchill’s helmet is the focus of this fight. Make sure you have the Fire and Ice Wizzrobes, as they will be your weapons here. The first phase is the Ice Helmet, so use the Fire Wizzrobe to target it. It takes 3 hits to destroy each helmet. The second phase is Fire Helmet, so use the Ice Wizzrobe. The final helmet switches back and forth, and you’ll have to use the visual clues. After each helmet is destroyed, Skorchill is briefly vulnerable to physical attacks.
The Final Titans’ Gathering Walkthrough:
This final challenge involves another run through all six of the previous bosses at once, immediately followed by Ganon from Hyrule Castle.
- Ganon is the same fight from Hyrule Castle at the game’s midpoint. Echoes don’t seem to be a huge help here, as even Lynels are defeated almost immediately by Ganon. Your best bet is to come with plenty of energy-replenishing Smoothies, like the Salted Milky Smoothie (Rock Salt + Fresh Milk) and use Swordfighter Form throughout as much of the fight as possible. That’s not to say that Echoes are useless, they just won’t be quite as helpful as other fights. Ganon still uses the same attacks, so the strategy will remain the same as Hyrule Castle.
Once you have completed every challenge, the reward everyone is doing this for will finally be yours: the Green Tunic.
