How to complete Sekhema's trial
Sekhema's trial in Path of Exile 2 is an offshoot of the Sanctum activity from the first game. It's a decent source of late-game loot, but early on, it can be difficult to complete, especially for players who aren't strong enough.
Completing the Sekhemas process may not necessarily be part of your main quests and deeds PoE 2but it plays an important role in early character progression and is a decent loot source as well if you manage to get powerful enough. Here's a quick guide covering some of the most important things you need to know about it.

How to unlock Sekhemas Trial in Path of Exile 2
To unlock this activity, you'll need to defeat Balbala the Traitor, a hidden boss in the Traitor's Passage in Act 2. She can be an annoying enemy to fight early on due to her fast and powerful attacks, but once you down, she will escape Barya of Balbalaan essential item you'll need for your first Trial of the Sekhemas run.
After beating Balbala in PoE 2travel to the Trial of the Sekhemas location on Ardura's travel map (or teleport there via Waypoint) and you'll come to some sort of ruined temple. Balbala will be waiting for you there not as an enemy, but as an advisor. Place Balbala's Barya in the Shrine of Relics to start the run.
Balbala's Barya is consumed after your first successful roll. If you want to try again, you need to find Djinn Baryas, which drops randomly.
How to complete Sekhema's trial
Sekhema's trial puts players on the line a glove composed of seven chamberswith the last being a boss fight. Each of the first six rooms has different objectives as well as rewards or penalties. You can choose which room to enter next after finishing the current one, and you'll often have a choice between two different rooms. Complete all encounters to enter a reward room where treasure chests await.
The encounters here are all simple and the objectives are written in the quest log. Either survive encounters, kill monsters, or reach the end of the current room to continue. Repeat until you reach the final boss. There are no time limits here, but you may want to find ways to increase your damage output or movement speed inside PoE 2 if you want to finish as fast as possible.
tips
-
You can ignore enemies in Gauntlet encounters where you have to run through traps and pull levers.
-
You can also kite enemies around during hourglass (survival) encounters without necessarily killing them all.
-
Choose your room modifiers wisely.
-
You can exit a quest by creating a city portal.
-
Be sure to grab holy water that drops from enemies.
-
Equip your mobility skills and use your Dodge Roll frequently.
Honor level
When entering a trial, you will notice a white bar in the middle of the screen. This represents your level. current Honor — Honor is basically a second health bar that is only active during Sekhemas Trial. You lose honor when you are hit by an enemy, and how much you lose depends on how strong the incoming attack was. If you lose all your honor, you lose the Trial (you also fail if you lose all your life).
Honor can be regained only in the rooms that contain a fountain specially intended for the restoration of Honor. These are quite rare and you usually have to spend Holy Water to heal yourself. That being said, you must avoid getting hit at all costs.
rewards
During the process, you can find keys of various rarities as random drops or encounter rewards. These keys are used to open chests in the reward room after the final boss fight. This room also contains a statue that gives you your first ascension points PoE 2.
Future runs of the Proceria of Sekhemas will not reward you with any additional Ascendancy points, but you will still be able to gather activity for loot. The challenge gets significantly harder (and rewarding) once you reach the endgame.
