The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom it's full of cute little quests. Zelda is a woman of the people, so even though Hyrule is being ravaged by evil demons and swallowing people into a parallel dimension, she's happy to spend a few hours helping people.
And this includes a young boy who has an obsession with spherical monsters. You don't normally see the common wanderers around Castle Town, so Zelda can use her echoes to bring them out and put a smile on the kid's face. Here's how to make it happen.
How to complete the curious child's quest
Despite Zelda being undercover in the early parts of Echoes of Wisdom and unable to gain access to Hyrule Castle, she can still explore most of Castle Town without issue. You'll find the Curious Child quest in the lower left corner, under the fountain that leads to the secret castle entrance.
Go there and you'll see a boy with the words “Zols, Zols, Zols” coming out of his mind. It seems his father has an encyclopedia of monsters from all over the place and his dream is to meet some of them. With a swipe from her staff, Zelda can grant this wish.
Talk to the boy and he will first ask you to summon a normal Green Zolone of the first echo creatures you would encounter after escaping the castle dungeon. Take it out of your inventory and summon one right in front of the boy. He will squeal in delight, but then be distracted by the fact that there are also Zols that can throw fire.
You can find Zol, Ignizol and Hydrozol in
Hyrule Field, Gerudo Desert, and Faron Wetlands
respectively. The third is easily the farthest and one game zone later.
Next, go into your inventory and equip the echo Ignizol. Stay a little further away before summoning this one, because the boy may react negatively to the sudden presence of fire. But once again, he's excited, but like most disturbed kids, he wants more. Next is hydrosol.
However, you can't summon one of these and call it a day. The boy wants to fill himself with water, which makes things a little more complicated. Summon one in a normal state and the boy won't be happy, so leave the area, fetch one and use the Water Block echo or a nearby body of water to make it grow in size.
Once it's big enough, use Zelda's staff to take it to the mission location. You'll put a big smile on the boy's face and get a rare Power Crystal for your troubles.
