There are many rewards for becoming an emissary in Sea of Thieves, although the process can be complex and confusing for new players.
How to create a guild in Sea of Thieves
To create a guild in Sea of Thieves, players must first become a captain and buy their own ship. They can then head to the Guilds tab in the main menu and select Create a Guild. Guild branding has several customization options, including crest, colors, motto, and more.
After creating the guild, players must hiring one of their own ships to the guildallowing him to begin to gain guild reputation and progress through the emissary ranks. Players can also allow other Guild members to use the Promised Ship in their own adventures as they progress the ship's milestones and unlock new cosmetics.
Players can only be part of three guilds at the same time.
How to join a guild in Sea of Thieves
Players can send invitations to other players through the Guild menu in the Reputation section of the Pirate Journal menu. However, players can only receive invitations from friendsso they need to make sure they add the guild leader. In the same menu, players can view their invitations and accept them to join the Guild. Once part of the guild, a guild member can also hire one or more ships if they wish.
How to leave a guild in Sea of Thieves
Players can leave the Guild Sea of Thieves through the game settings. The Guild Management tab shows each guild a player is a part of, their role in the guild, and how many players are currently in the guild. To leave the guild, players must click on the guild name and select Leave.
Guild perks in Sea of Thieves

As they sail guild ships, players can increase their guild reputation rank, unlocking permanent rewards like the Unbroken Links set available at the Shipwright.
Reaching Guild Reputation 15 unlocks the ability to become a Guild Emissary. Players can go to the sovereign's hut and vote to become the emissary of the guild. The emissary system for guilds works the same as for traditional trading companies and has its own registry of emissaries with rewards.
