How to play Hex Syndicate in Warframe

Warframe takes players to the last day of 1999, where Doctor Entrati experimented with some human volunteers and injected them with the Technocyte virus to create protoframes. Those volunteers are now hunting him to answer for what he did to them, and you will travel back in time to find out what happened in those days.

The new Syndicate you can find in Höllvania called The Hex, a group of people struggling to keep their sanity as the year draws to a close and with it the end of this ruined city as a whole. Here's everything you need to know about them.

What is the Hex?

Hex is a syndicate that lives in the Höllvania Central Mall in the year 1999. This group of individuals is trying to find Albrecht Entrati so that they can reverse the Technocyte virus that is affecting them and is composed of the following members:

• Arthur Nightingale – Codename: “Broadsword”

  • The leader of the group, Arthur is a tough guy who wants to live, but not at the cost of others' lives, which causes him to clash a bit with his teammates.

• Eleanor Nightingale – Codename: “Salem”

  • Arthur's sister and psychiatrist from The Hex, Eleanor has an underlying techrot connection that no one wants to explore.

• Aoi Morohoshi – Codename: “Chopper”

  • Aoi is the mechanic and second-in-command of the group, the fun-loving magnetic warrior brings fun to an otherwise dark, grim and violent environment.

• Quincy Isaacs – Codename: “Stepper”

  • Sniper of the group and a badass by nature, Quincy is a bad boy with a heart of gold who supports the team from afar.

• Amir Beckett – Codename: “Jitter”

  • The group's player and electronics technician, Amir is a Volt-bound protoframer, giving him strong electrical and speed-based powers.

• Leticia Garcia – Code Name: “Belladona”

  • The group's strategist and sole medic, Lettie is a Trinity protocadre with an attitude that doesn't match her amazing powers of restoration.

How to unlock Hex Syndicate

You will unlock this syndicate once you've completed the 1999 main story mission; after going back in time, you'll rewind the grim ending The Hex had during the mission, which will open up new possibilities for you to explore. This will allow the retro computer on your orbiter to to display multiple menus in it and you'll be able to freely travel around the mall to visit each character and discover what they have to offer.

How to believe in the ranking

To increase the rank of the Syndicate, you need to complete bounties and increase the status of the Syndicate. You'll start at rank 0 with a max of 5,000 feet until you hit your cap, then give a certain amount of items and Hollare to move up to the next rank.

Hex Treasures

If you need some extra Standing, you can go to Lettie and exchange the following Hex Treasures (items you can find in quests and rewards in Hollvania) for Standing:

Vendors and Rewards

As you climb the ranks, you'll be able to buy different items from Amir, Aoi, Quincy, Lettie, and Eleanor. They go as follows:

Amir sells Glyphs, Weapon Blueprints and Warframe Blueprints:

Aoi

Aoi sells several music add-ons for Orbiter:

Quincy

Quincy sells symbols, glyphs, Drifter cosmetics, weapon parts, Captura backgrounds and Simulacrum backgrounds:

Eleanor

Eleanor sells the newly introduced batch of Arcani. In the future, Eleanor will also sell Technocyte Coda weapons.

Arthur and Lettie don't work as vendors, instead being the NPCs you have to use to advance to the next rank and collect Hex treasures if you want to get something extra.

Relationship system and romance

Once you've unlocked the syndicate, one of the tabs in the orbiter's retro computer will display a retro-looking chat platform. You have to click on each character's profile and you will see introductory messages that you can respond to; depending on your choices, you will advance in the relationship with that character.

Plus, you'll be able to send them a gift after every chat, and depending on what you learn about them, you'll know what to choose, which in turn yields better results. Finally, you'll also be able to gain chemistry experience by doing bounties; each reward will boost chemistry with a certain character, and that character will accompany you on the mission.

Note that the results do not have to end in a mandatory romance, and you can choose to befriend only Hex members.
