Until dawn returned in 2024 as a remake for PS5 and PC. Like the original game, it is full of meaningful choices that can decide the fate of many of its characters – each of whom can meet a gruesome death as the story progresses. However, its cast of protagonists is not to be missed, as the player is able to save each of them by making crucial decisions throughout the game's many chapters.
Throughout the game, players will see a lot of peaceful wild creatures. They need to make sure they don't harm any of these forest friends, or they could jeopardize achieving the best the game has to offer. Important choices from chapter 4
This will be the first in a long line of chapters, and the first friend on the block is Jess, after a less than wise decision. She finds herself pulled through a door window and dragged through the snow-covered forest by the game's monstrous entity. Depending on the choices made by the player in chapter 4she may not be around for the final moments of the game. Players will have to choose between 2 options to get to Jess, one being the safest and one risky. Safer options are slower and may result in not reaching Jess in time. Riskier options come with quick-time events, so players will need to be ready to react. Here is a list of choices to make:
Being too slow, Jess will meet a grizzly fate. Players will find Jess lying down, but she will collapse shortly after, only to reappear in a later chapter. Progress through the chapter and you'll switch to Chris, who will hear Ashley calling him. As Chris, you will have to choose between Save Josh or Save Ashley. Choose the right option to save AshleyWatching what happens to Josh may seem like it's impossible to save everyone now, but it can still be done. Chris and Ashley will soon cross paths with Matt and Emily shortly after this scene.
Important choices from chapter 5
After saving Chris, there will be a scene with Dr. Hill, before beginning of chapter 5. Progress through the chapter as Mike until you switch to Matt. Emily is quick on her feet when she finds solutions, she brings up The Tower of Fire and insisting on using his radio. This will prompt you to either agree or disagree. Select the correct option of Disagree to turn back.
Important choices from Chapter 6
Chapter 6 will begin with Matt and Emily between a cliff and some rather aggressive reindeer. Choose to remain calm, Until dawn it has something about not being mean to any animals – just monsters. Make your way peacefully past the reindeer and head to the top of the tower to find a box with a flare gun.
Choose the correct option of Give for Matt to take the gun. He'll need it later while being chased by the Wendigo. The player will take control of Matt once the tower has collapsed and Emily is in danger. Players will have the option to save Emily or jump to safety. Choose to save Emily.
The story will return to Chris and Ashley. Progress through the chapter until you reach another death trap and a charged weapon. You will have a choice of two hoops, one over Chris and one over Ashley. Select the circle next to Chris and the screen will turn red.

Important Chapter 8 Choices
There are no options to worry about in Chapter 7, but there are a few in Chapter 8 to make sure everyone lives. Players will also now be aware that Josh is not dead and that there is still a chance for everyone to survive until dawn, including Josh. Players will find themselves underground as Emily.
This is the most focused requirement yet. The player will be attacked by the Wendigo, born in cannibalism, and will have to shoot all the circles to get Chris back to the cabin safely. If they fail to do so, Chris will die. However, once Chris is safely back in the cabin, the next scene will have one of these hoops on Emily – you don't have to shoot emily.
Important Chapter 9 Choices
You'll play a long part of Mike, then switch to the other group to choose as Ashley. Choose the right option for Reassure. Ashley will then be separated from the rest of the group and start hearing Jess screaming for help – that's not Jess, you risk losing Ashley. You will have the option to investigate the voice as well as join the group. Both can get Ashley out alive, but choosing to investigate has the possibility of her dying. However, there is a Totem to collect on the Investigate Voice route. Players who want to ensure survival should choose Rejoin Group just to be safe.
Important Chapter 10 Choices
For the final and probably most terrifying chapter, there are plenty of options Hide moments in this chapter. Always select to Hide when they appear. This includes when Matt and Jess will we must hide together once the game switches to them after the scene where Mike and Sam find Josh. In addition to these stealth moments, players will now have the option to include Josh as one of the characters they save, a feature not present in the original version. Until dawn game.
Mike and Sam will jump into a body of water. Follow along the left wall until you find a prompt to climb a ledge. Investigate to the left to find a journal left by Hannah. If Mike mentions that the area is sloped again, go back because you missed the log. Mike only says this while on the story progression path.
The final scene of the game will put Mike in danger and make Sam able to run or save Mike. Choose to save Mike to make sure they both make it out alive. Follow these key points and everyone will survive. However, Josh may not survive the way you would expect without collecting all the game's clues. Players will then be greeted with the final scene of the game, which hints at a continuation of the story.
