Now a month and a half after the return Hunter x Hunterfans are waiting for its release Hunter x Hunter chapter 406. This chapter will take a deeper dive into the character of Chrollo Lucilfer, specifically, a beloved antagonist and leader of the ghost troop.

This arc of Hunter x Hunter it could very well be the end of many beloved groups and characters in this series, which also includes the Ghost Squad.

Chrollo intends to die

In Hunter x Hunter 405, Chrollo was a passing character as he focused more on other characters such as Hisoka or Heil-Ly. In the few moments Chrollo had in that chapter, it was mentioned by Bonolenov that he was looking for a special treasure. This treasure is located on the Black Whale, and at this time it is not known exactly what this treasure will be. This treasure will be used to kill Hisoka for good. For all this information, it's easy to deduce that this treasure Chrollo is after is perhaps a Nen ability from someone on this ship. This Nen ability would be strong enough to kill Hisoka and keep him dead. It's also possible that instead of being a Nen ability, it's also an artifact that holds some power. Whatever it is, this treasure will probably kill Hisoka, but it will also cause Chrollo's death.

Chrollo, based on what the other Squad members seem to notice, is ready to die to take down Hisoka, which is why the other Spiders try to get to Hisoka themselves first, in order to save Chrollo. However, Chrollo's determination will likely mark the end of him and possibly the end of the Ghost Squad in this arc. The next chapter, that is Hunter X Hunter chapter 406, could feature Chrollo getting closer to whatever treasure he's after. In HxH 405, Bonolenov was a fairly important character who took up most of this chapter. In that chapter, he revealed that he was disguised as Hisoka when he met Xi-Yu, and during that meeting, he was discovered by a member of Xi-Yu, Lynch Fullboko, as a fake Hisoka. Because of this, Bonolenov resorted to killing her. He tried to fake his death to convince himself that he wasn't involved, but the Xi-Yu are definitely smarter than that, especially Hinrigh, who turned out to be quite clever and calculating.

The members of Xi-Yu, which probably includes Hinrigh and Zakuro, will perhaps find their body in HxH 406. Depending on how important Lynch was to them, this could mean they wanted revenge for her death. Killing a member of their mob family could be a serious crime.

Whatever happens after that surely depends on who takes the blame for her death. Bonolenov was disguised as Hisoka when this all unfolded, so if they're going to blame anyone for her death, it's very likely Hisoka. This means that Xi-Yu will probably go hunting for Hisoka. The Xi-Yu have no real means at this point to link this back to the Ghost Squad, so they should be safe for now. However, this could change and negatively impact the relationship between Nobunaga and Hinrigh, which could affect the entire functioning of the Heil-Ly family.

HxH Chapter 406 could definitely start with Hinrigh and Zakura finding Lynch's body somewhere, and from there fans will have to see how events unfold.

Hisoka and Bonolenov are very important for Hunter X Hunter chapter 406

A major emphasis of HxH 405 was the reveal of Hisoka's place. Indeed, the Hisoka that fans had previously seen in other chapters was not, in fact, the real Hisoka, but a fake. This fake was made with Bonolenov's Nen ability, Metamorphosen. Bonolenov, who was pretending to be Hisoka, now changed into another form. Hisoka could easily incapacitate him by immobilizing him or even plugging his holes with Bungee Gum, making it impossible for him to play music and activate his powers. This confrontation is very bad for Bonolenov, and unless he finds a way to escape and get the information he gathered back to Chrollo and the others, he may very well die. This would send Chrollo into an even worse mental state, with the death of each Spider further strengthening his resolve to kill Hisoka, even if it meant going down with him.
