I predict the next major Grand Theft Auto 6 reveal date

Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to be the biggest video game release of all time. After years of speculation and anticipation, fans have some incredibly high expectations for GTA 6and Rockstar will do its best to meet them. December 4, 2024 – One year anniversary of GTA 6's first trailer

After years of rumors, leaks, hacks and teases, Grand Theft Auto 6 was officially announced in November 2023 with a rather nonchalant statement from Rockstar thanking fans for 25 years of support and promising a GTA 6 reveal trailer in early December. True to its word, Rockstar has released Grand Theft Auto 6its first trailer on December 4, 2023.

It would make perfect sense, then, for Grand Theft Auto 6Its second trailer will be released on December 4, 2024, the one-year anniversary of the game's official reveal. This would also align well with Rockstar's past marketing patterns, with Grand Theft Auto 5the first trailer released in November 2011 and the second in November 2012 and Red Dead Redemption 2the first trailer landed in October 2016 and then the second in September 2017.

December 12, 2024 – The Game Awards

Alternatively, if Grand Theft Auto 6 wanted to share the spotlight, its second trailer could be released during The Game Awards ceremony on December 12, 2024. The Game Awards is getting bigger with each passing year, and this year's ceremony marks the event's 10th anniversary, it seems Geoff Keighley would like to bring out the big guns and call in some big favors, and it couldn't get much bigger than GTA 6.

But while those two December dates would make complete sense, there's one major factor that could throw those predictions out the window: Rockstar can be a loose cannon at times. Although GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2The first and second trailers were a year apart, there's no guarantee that Rockstar will repeat the pattern for GTA 6.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is possibly the most anticipated game of all time and has already proven with its initial reveal that the gaming world will stop and take notice whenever it decides to rear its head again.
