Kai Cenat Comments on Ironmouse Subathon

Popular twitch Streamer Kai Cenat shared his thoughts on VTuber Ironmouse beating him during her subathon. Both Twitch streams are known for their entertaining gaming content, with thousands of viewers tuning in whenever they're live.

Ironmouse recently hosted a 30-day Twitch subathon where she played a variety of games and hosted episodes of her weekly talent show, Ironmouse VTuber Academywhile raising money for the Immune Deficiency Fund (IDF). During the subathon, Ironmouse gained over 311,000 subscribers, surpassing Kai Cenat's record of over 306,000 subscribers. Many of Ironmouse's fans and colleagues, including Cenat, congratulated her on the huge milestone, but she also received unnecessary hate.

In a recent Twitch stream, Cenat talked about the backlash Ironmouse received and showed his support for VTuber. He reminded viewers that Ironmouse has always been one of Twitch's most subscribed streamers and that she was the person he had to beat during his first subathon last year.

Kai Cenat defends Ironmouse after backlash from Twitch subscribers

  • Ironmouse's Twitch Subscriber Record: Over 312,000
  • Kai Cenat's previously held record: Over 306,000

Cenat also acknowledged the people who stood up for him after Ironmouse broke his subscriber record, but went on to say that the VTuber sub was “pretty well put together” and praised her for donating to causes charitable. Cenat also previously promised his supporters that he would somehow get the most subscribed Twitch streamer title back if it was hacked.

Recently, Cenat has been drawing in numbers with his fun Soulslike streams, where he spends hours and even days trying to finish FromSoftware titles like Elden Ring and Sekiro. Rockstar Games even reached out to him about a possible collaboration, which fans speculate could be either a Grand Theft Auto 6 cameo or early game preview. It's safe to say that Cenat could have enough gaming content to support him in his current and future streams, which could help him surpass Ironmouse again when the time is right.

Subathons are definitely a great way for streamers to gain subscribers, especially if they set goals that involve fun challenges. However, there are challenges with subathons, such as the potential for Twitch streamers to get bumped and challenges to go awry. Many fans have also expressed concern that streamers aren't getting enough rest, especially those who choose not to sleep for days at a time, or who continue to make content despite being tired by the end of the subathon. Either way, the trend is likely here to stay.
