Everyone knows that Marvel Rivals kills him absolutely right now. Sure, he has a lot of bugs, missing variety maps, and battle passes last forever, but it's about to become Killer overwatch, so many said it would be, even if it wasn't need to be that.
I say all this mostly as an external observer. I am, from a technical point of view, a rival player, but I do not play very often, or with a substantial degree. Most of my exposure to the game is to stay with my friends while playing it, talking to my younger brother about it (it is ranked on plateau 1 and is the real player of our family) and reading the speech. Otherwise, I play from time to time, jumping a few games a week if I have friends online. I am not invested enough to find gud or even learn to play more than a good character. Honestly, even if I were, I would probably be still bad. I am okay to admit this on the Internet, where things live forever.
When my brother and I discovered that I both played the game, he said: “You look like a cloak and a main dagger.” He's right, but I still have no idea what he wanted to say.
All this means that I am a casual casual. Like, the only one only He started playing in a kind of casual. This also means that I have the dubious honor of writing about Rivals Marvel from the perspective of a casual, because many people play rivals, and most of us suggest.

Why Warner Bros. have to make a flashpoint game
Warner Bros. He is struggling to successfully make a DC video game in Arkham's shadow, so why not restart with Flashpoint?
There are too many characters in Marvel rivals
One thing I- and a lot of players- appreciate about Rivali is that it has launched with a huge number of characters to choose and everyone feels strongly inspired by their media representations, while they still feel different one of the other, of the game- wise.
Loki's change and theft are entirely in accordance with his portraits. Dr. Dr. Strange's portals, of course, are essential for his character. Hulk must be weakened to its human form before it can completely remove it. And, of course, Spider-Man swings everywhere. All have different strengths and weaknesses, different levels of mobility and often completely unique powers.
But there are so many of these characters and they feel impossible to learn them all inside and outside. If you have not learned to play a character yet, it is practically impossible to figure out what any of their skills do when working against you. Take it on Loki, for example. One of my friends, who was amazed by the match, sent a message to inform me that the green field around Loki was his regeneration field, which transforms 30 % of all healing damages for the Allies. I beat the guy on the ground and asked myself why nothing happens. I would have known that if I played Loki, but I never had it. Did everyone play every character and memorized all the skills?
If rivals had fewer characters, this would not be an equally big problem. If the game had, let's say, a list of 20 characters to choose from, a beginner, given enough time could realize all their abilities and what they do. I certainly succeeded with Overwatch 2, a game I didn't play so much or experiment in any high degree. But the rivals launched with 33, added two more with his first season (with two more settings) and will add another character every six weeks. It is a lot of information for any player to remember, let alone one that does not play so often.
And many of these characters are not visually distinct
You can solve a lot of these problems, just learning to play each character, but this is a kind of opposite to those who make a casual. And commitment is not the only problem.

Marvel rivals don't have to be an overwatch criminal
Overwatch 2 needs a competitor, not a horse.
There is also the fact that many of these characters, while they feel different to play, can look very similar on the battlefield. I can't tell the winter soldier and Punisher besides distance. The invisible woman and the dagger looks practically the same, unless you press your face on the screen. In fact, this is true for most female characters – all of which look the same except for colors.
Throw the skins in the mixture, and a player like me is quite cooked. Someone could be prevented by me and I could not identify who is on time to avoid anything they are about to decime me. Not only does it look completely unknown from a distance, but even nearby, it can be difficult to figure out exactly what you are in office.
Its too muchand rivals only promise to add more and more. How is a dirty casual to prosper under these conditions?
