A controversial way for Donald Trump Marvel Rivals was banned. Since launching almost a month ago, Marvel Rivals has won millions of players around the world who master different Marvel heroes to reach the top of the leaderboards.
As a hero shooter, Marvel Rivals offers a fun experience where players can discover clever strategies and use unique interactions between characters to win matches. Meanwhile, other players have improved their game using Marvel Rivals mods to change hero models. This ranged from adding various skins from Marvel comics and movies to adding Fortnite models of Captain America and Spider-Man over the default units.

Monday, January 6 will be a particularly exciting day for fans of the Marvel Rivals hero shooter.
One User Nexus Mods recently uploaded a Donald Trump mod for one of the Marvel RivalsPopular vanguard, Captain America. It's been making the rounds on social media, with some even looking for players with Joe Biden mode so they can queue up in a match. However, Nexus Mods seems to have banned and removed the Trump mod as players are directed to an error page saying it cannot be found on the site. Also, Biden mode is not searchable on the site.
Why was the Donald Trump Marvel Rivals mod removed?
In 2020, Nexus Mods launched a blog stating that it would ban mods related to sociopolitical issues in the United States and encouraged users to report any mods that would violate this rule. That announcement was around the same time as the hotly contested election between then-incumbent President Trump and his challenger Biden, who ultimately won the race.
On social media, many Marvel Rivals fans were not surprised that the mod was banned, especially pointing out that the Captain America model was not suitable for Trump. Meanwhile, a select few seemed unhappy that Nexus Mods is banning any political imagery from its site. This isn't the first time Trump has been used for a video game mod. Although many have probably been removed from Nexus Mods, there are still mods available for Skyrim, Fallout 4and XCOM 2 which presents the controversial figure.
On the other hand, Marvel Rivals Developer NetEase Games has not addressed any issues regarding the use of character mods in the game, especially those featuring controversial and/or political people. Since it is still a new game, NetEase has handled various issues such as fixing any game bugs and lifting fake bans of Marvel Rivals players.
