Warriors coach Andrew Webster has been named Dally M Coach of the Year to cap off an impressive debut campaign across the Tasman.
‘Up the Wahs’ chants have swept across the world with Webster at the forefront of the wave of support since joining the club ahead of the 2023 season.
Webster beat out both Ivan Cleary and Kevin Walters to win the prestigious awarding, marking an 18-year journey to the top of the NRL coaching ranks.

He spent time in England with Hull KR before working at the Eels for free in 2008.
Webster also was the Tigers’ SG Ball coach in 2012 before he finally cracked the NRL coaching ranks as an assistant at the Warriors in 2015.
His first head coaching gig came when New Zealand powerbrokers signed him after a successful stint as assistant coach of the Panthers and the rest is history.
“There was a bit of carry on when we won that award there, Rocco Berry, for those who don’t know will be very proud,” Webster said.
“First of all I’d like to thank the most beautiful person in the room, my wife. She’s a good sort and knows nothing about football, which is the best.
“But she’s let me chase my dreams, move countries, become a head coach and have my first baby in another country. You’re a champ, I love ya.
“I got the brownie points out of the way. I just want to thank the boys, I love you so much. First day of training to where we are now, it’s amazing.
“I’m here because of you, I know we said it a million times but everyone just bought in to everything.
“From our coaches to Robbo the owner of the club, Cameron George supporting me, I can’t thank everyone at the club enough.
“We have got an amazing thing going on (with) ‘Up the Wahs’ at the moment and it is special in New Zealand, I just want to thank you guys so much for that.
“The two coaches on the weekend in those two teams, I am so proud to win this award, I really am. But to have two coaches in the grand final on the weekend.
“To get your teams there is amazing, so Ivan and Kevin, I just want to wish you such the best of luck. I know how special it is and I know it’s going to be a hell of a game of football.”
