After a break of two weeks, One piece finally returns with an emphatic chapter, and as expected, the action and adventure of the opening phase of the Elbaf Arc continues. Previously, fans were treated to half of the Straw Hat Pirates exploring a Lego-like city believed to be near Elbaf, but this chapter certainly added another interesting twist to the story.
At the same time, the mystery surrounding the Sun God of Elbaf, which was previously teased in the last chapter of the story, was also detailed, and fans finally got to see this character in the flesh. There is a lot to talk about around this character and it will certainly be interesting to see what happens with this individual.

It is safe to say that the sun god is one of the greatest, if not the greatest, deities in the land of Elbaf. Fans know for sure that the giants of Elbaf worshiped the Sun god. This was proven to fans in the Whole Cake Island Arc, where Mother Carmel quelled a riot by merely mentioning the Sun God and using her Devil Fruit powers to create Prometheus, a friend of the sun, to trick the people. It was clear for fans to see that the Sun God holds quite a lot of importance in Elbaf. Then, in the Egghead Island arc, this became even more clear as Vegapunk's message continued. Vegapunk clearly mentioned that the Sun God was from the land of Elbaf and all the stories about him originate from this land as well. These stories are apparently even older than Joy Boy, meaning that this is a legend of a god that may or may not have existed long ago in history. Fans also know that Giants, Dory, and Broggy easily recognized Luffy when he took his Nika form, stating that he looked just like the Sun God.

It is clear for fans to see that the Sun God holds tremendous significance in Elbaf and that they worship this deity more than any other. They know that the Sun God is responsible for peace, laughter and joy, and that's why this character that fans recently saw in One piece chapter 1128 will be important before. Of course, as seen in the previous chapter, this character seems quite interesting. They have a shield and a spear in their hands, which is somewhat similar to how the Sun God Nika de Oda was depicted long ago. But, this individual's appearance certainly does not look exactly like that of the Sun God. This is precisely why it is important to note that the Sun God that fans saw in One Piece chapter 1128 is not real.

The Sun God of Elbaf is not the real Sun God at all. Fans know that there can only be one Sun God and the person must have the power Hito Hito no Mi, Model Model: Nika, awakened. Of course, then, another possibility arises. Some may think that perhaps the Sun God is a position in the land of Elbaf that is assigned to someone as a way of paying tribute to God. However, this cannot be true. What is clear for fans to see is that this Sun God is not in the land of Elbaful. Oda previously determined that all members of the Straw Hat Pirates want to set foot on the land of Elbaf. This essentially means that Luffy and his party are not on Elbaf, and the figure calling himself the Sun God is aboard a ship.
As for what happened to the Straw Hat ship, it is very likely that this mysterious Sun God came across the Straw Hats and took them to the fake world they created on their ship. Maybe this is a practice they do from time to time and have continued for years. Maybe the Sun God likes to play God and creates his own little world using real people to do so. That explains why there are so many animal deities in the fake world they created that Luffy and the Strawhats recently gave up.
In this world, this individual wants to play the role of the Sun God and bring laughter and joy to everyone. This is clear from the fact that they have created an interesting world order inside the mini-creation where they allow people to live their lives normally. The fact that they carry a sun shield and a spear only shows that they idolize the Sun God and want to be more like him. But of course, this person will definitely not be the Sun God.
That being said, the fact that he wants to be like the sun god opens up an interesting dynamic that he could share with Luffy later on. As things stand, this person is currently in hot pursuit of the Straw Hat Pirates who are trying to escape from his grasp. Once this happens, this person, who is probably a high-ranking person from the country of Elbaf, will realize that Luffy is the true Sun God. Once that happens, there's definitely a connection to be made, and one that will drive the plot forward in many interesting ways.

The Straw Hats may soon befriend the Sun God
As things stand, Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates will probably escape the grip of the Sun God that was seen recently in the story. However, at some point when they escape, it might come down to a showdown, where Luffy will go Gear 5 and shock the Sun God. At this point, they might realize that this person is the true Sun God, which will be very interesting. It's also possible that the other half of the Strawhat Pirates came across this Giant Sun God ship in Elbaf and put two and two together to figure out what really happened to the crew.
When that happens, Dorry and Brogy will probably make sure this individual realizes who Luffy really is, and then a friendship could be ignited in the middle of the ocean right off Elbaf. As this happens, fans will see Luffy and the entire crew heading to the land of Elbaf, which is sure to be very interesting. For now, fans just have to sit back and enjoy the chase that will likely continue in next week's One Piece chapter, and hopefully things will get a lot more interesting then.
