10 Rare One Piece Games That Didn't Release In North America
The One Piece franchise is huge these days in North America. However, a few titles were not released outside of Japan.
Since the late 90s, they have been numerous One piece games that have been released on both home consoles and handheld devices. Some of these titles have successfully replicated Eiichiro Oda's art style due to their high-quality presentation, which is especially true for the latest releases. But what are they? One piece video games with the most impressive graphics?
7 Burning Blood
A stylized 3D arena fighter
- Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation Vita, PC
- Released: May 31, 2016

- Gender: Fight
Most shōnen action franchises have been adapted into a 3D arena fighting game and One piece obviously not an exception. Fortunately, One Piece: Burning Blood it is often considered to be one of the best of the genre, and this is partly due to its flawless presentation.
It's clear that the developers at Spike Chunsoft have opted for a unique, comic-book-like style from the high-octane battles of Burning Blood use appropriate elements such as onomatopoeia for attacks, dynamic backgrounds that change colors, and even some type of shading. Combine all that with some really detailed HD models of the iconic characters and this game still looks fantastic, even 8 years after its original release.
6 The Great Colosseum of Pirates
Arc System Works Never disappoints
- Platforms: Nintendo 3DS
- Released: September 21, 2016
- Developer(s): The spring system works
- Gender: Fight
There is also a fair share of 2D fighting games in this franchise, and in 2016 Arc System Works and Bandai Namco released The Great Colosseum of Pirates exclusively in Japan. And, as one might expect from the developers of incredibly good-looking fighters such as Dragon Ball FighterZ or Guilty Gear: Strivethis game looks 100% the part.
It is quite amazing to remember that The Great Colosseum of Pirates was developed for the Nintendo 3DS, but features huge characters with extreme amounts of detail, smooth animations, and a fast but complex battle system. It really feels like the player is in control of a battle in an episode of One piece anime. If one day Arc System Works decides to make a sequel for home consoles that is of the same quality as Dragon Ball FighterZit would most likely result in the most beautiful result One piece game ever made.

Not every One Piece video game has been a success, but what these particular games excel at is their high-quality combat systems.
Prison Island looks colorful and lively, thanks in large part to its inhabitants: uniquely designed NPCs who fit right into One piece world. The combat can be repetitive, but it still looks great, with plenty of special effects that make every fight feel incredible. In terms of presentation, World seeker it has all the makings of a solid anime adaptation and can be enjoyed smoothly by those who can ignore its glaring issues.
4 Pirate Warriors 4
Defeating multiple enemies at the same time never looked so good
One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4
The Pirate warriors series is arguably the most successful subseries of video games in the One piece franchise, so it stands to reason that the latest entry is the one that looks the best. However, Pirate Warriors 4 is particularly interesting because all previous Pirate warriors the games featured character models with weird HD textures that looked good for the time, but haven't aged so well.
Fortunately, Pirate Warriors 4 opted for a more animated art style that is almost one-to-one for Toei Animation's anime. This is especially true during some of its cutscenes, which reproduce memorable scenes from the show with a surprising level of fidelity, only in 3D instead of 2D. When it comes to gameplay, this game is also optimized quite well, especially on PlayStation 4, where players can use the satisfying battle system to defeat entire armies full of enemies with little to no frame rate drops .
3 Odyssey
The latest One Piece Home Console game looks absolutely beautiful
- ISSUED
- January 13, 2023
- Developer(s)
- ILCA
ILCA is an innovative development studio that has tackled iconic IPs and their foray into One piece the franchise left a very good impression on the public. After all, Odyssey not only is it the latest game in the series to be developed for home consoles, but it was also the first to be released on a next-generation system, the PlayStation 5.
As a result, Odyssey it looks absolutely beautiful, with some of the most detailed character designs of Monkey D. Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates ever created. The menus are incredibly stylish, the new characters and enemy NPCs (which were all designed by Eiichiro Oda himself) look great, and even the environments are pretty true to the anime, especially classic locations like Arabasta, Enies Lobby or Dressrosa. If Toei Animation ever decides to make a One piece feature film with 3D animation, it should look similar to this video game.
