One Piece Fishman Island Arc Reissue: What Fans Can Expect

The One Piece anime is going on hiatus, but fans can enjoy a remastered Fishman Island arc with updated visuals, better pacing, and new episodes.

As for why fans should be incredibly excited about this event, the reason is pretty simple. The reissue of Fishman Island will renew the way One piece anime looked around the time Saga Island of the Fish Man. Essentially, the art of anime will improve dramatically. As made clear by the preview, the line filter that Toei used quite a bit from Wano for One Piece will also be present in the Fishman Island re-release.

The art is dramatically improved and has a lot more depth behind it this time around. The animation itself will be largely untouched, but will still be polished significantly. Perhaps some key animation scenes could be altered in certain ways, which while it might provide interesting results, might also bother other fans for various reasons. Essentially the Fish Island reissue One piece it will be a remaster of sorts, meaning it will be the same arc on fishman island, but it will just look a lot better.

Hody Jones, the main antagonist of the Fishman Island arc

However, the biggest change that excites everyone One piece fans is that One Piece reissue will set the pace of the series. The pacing of the Fishman Island Arc in the One Piece anime is abysmal. Of course, it's still not as bad as the Wano Country Arc or the Dressrosa Arc. But, it's not ideal by any means. In the manga, Fishman Island has about 51 chapters, and these 51 chapters were adapted into 51 episodes, which just isn't good enough. The One Piece Fishman Island reissue will condense all of this into about 21 episodes, which means the pacing will be dramatically improved and fans will have a much better experience.

Ideally, 21 to 24 episodes should be the adaptation of Fishman Island, which means that a lot of unnecessary filler and extended scenes will probably be cut from the anime to make for a much better experience. Of course, fans will have to see it in action before they can judge One Piece reissue right, but on paper it sure looks promising.

Once that One Piece reissue aired after its delay, fans can finally decide if the show is a success or not. Either way, as the staff works on the Egghead Arc of Anime, the Fishman Island Arc will give fans some entertainment and at the very least, a refresher on how good the series' storytelling was after coming back from the timeskip. .

The One Piece re-release will begin airing on November 3, 2024. Fans can stream it on Crunchyroll as always in the same time slot as usual.
