The status of Overwatch 2 can often be judged by looking at a hero
With Overwatch 2 entering its thirteenth season, looking at previous metas, it's clear that the player base is happiest when a character is viable.
Now, Overwatch 2 introduced a new content update that includes additional changes to hero balance. Recent tweaks to Ramattra's Pummel have been reversed, allowing him to pass through barriers again, while the ammo duration of his Wrecking Ball and Grappling Claw have been increased. Juno and Orisa have both been nerfed, with the latter now healing less health per second, the latter having some of her armor converted to health, her Energy Javelin's damage reduced, and her Fortify radiator feature removed. Finally, Sombra received new changes Overwatch 2with slightly faster EMP charge and Stealth reaction when using Translocator, but now Hack reveals it from Stealth.
Quite interesting, that Overwatch 2 the patch also introduced changes to Junkenstein's Laboratory. Some of the mutations used by Ashe, Genji, Kiriko, Mercy, Moira, Orisa and Reaper have received perks, while some of D.Va, Pharah and Zenyatta's selections have been changed. The game mode will be available until November 4th, so players have a week from patch day to experience these new mutations.
usually Overwatch 2 roll out hero balance updates every month, once for every major bi-monthly content update and again for the mid-season cycle. This update was a welcome surprise that arrived outside of the expected schedule and with Overwatch 2the new Rapid Balance Update technology, this may become the norm for FPS.
Players can expect a new hero balance update in just a few weeks. The mid-season patch for Overwatch 2 it's likely to drop on November 12th or 19th, almost certainly bringing even more buffs and nerfs to its cast of characters.
