Pokemon Go Developer Niantic has revealed all the dates for Community Day for season 17, which is expected to start on December 3rd this year. Like previous seasons, Pokemon Go Season 17 will have several Community Day events and special limited-time events that are based on that season's theme.

Pokemon Go Season 16, titled Max Out, is themed after the Dynamax Pokemon from Pokemon Sword and Shield. The last season of Pokemon Go introduced Max Battles, which sees 40 Pokemon trainers team up in groups of four to battle Gigamax Pokemon. Along with Max Battles, players can participate in Pokemon Go monthly Community Day events to acquire new Pokemon, and those lucky enough to encounter Shiny Pokemon in the wild.

In addition to the dates for the upcoming Community Day events, Niantic has revealed the event dates for the rest Pokemon Go Season Max Out and other limited time events for Season 17. Players can expect Research Day and Max Battle Day on December 7th and December 8th respectively. A Raid Day event will take place on December 14th, followed by Hatch Day on December 29th. More Raid Day events will take place on January 11th and February 15th, with Shadow Raid Day and Max Battle Day taking place between those dates on January 19th. and February 1.


During Community Day, players can expect the shiny encounter rate for featured Pokemon to be higher than usual in wild encounters. In addition, these new Community Day events will have more event bonuses, such as increased XP gains and rare candy drops for catching Pokemon, reduced Stardust costs for trading, and the opportunity to catch Smeargle with Pokemon Go instant feature.
