Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players will have a new challenge in early October as the fourth-generation debutant Infernape will appear in the seven-star Tera raid pits. Infernape's arrival as the next Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Tera Raid boss will come just a few days after Serperior the Unrivaled leaves.
Known as the Pokémon Flame, Infernape first appeared in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl as a Fire-type Starter of the Sinnoh region. Infernape is the fully evolved form of Chimchar and Monferno and is usually classified as a dual fire and fighting type Pokemon. With an extremely versatile move list and high speed, physical attack and special attack stats, Infernape is one of the most popular players to come out of the Sinnoh region. However, the intensity of the Flame Pokemon is offset by its low HP and defense, as well as weaknesses to water, flying, and ground attacks. In Pokemon Scarlet and VioletInfernape can be obtained by catching a Chimchar in Terrarium's Polar Biome and evolving it.
