Digital Eclipse revealed Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind during this year's Summer Game Fest, and while it wasn't given a firm release date, the studio promised it would be here before the end of 2024. With two months to go, except for one last moment. belatedly, Digital Eclipse has now confirmed that they will be keeping that promise and you can save yourself some cash by committing to Rita's Rewind ahead of the now confirmed release date.
The retro Power Rangers beat them it will be here on December 10, 2024which launches on PlayStation, PC, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. Pre-orders for Rita's Rewind have already begun on two of these platforms and they are 15 percent cheaper than what it will cost to buy the game if you choose to wait until after release day.

Rita's Rewind will be $34.99 once it launches, but if you pre-order before December 10th you'll get the game for 15% less, so $29.74. Currently, the discounted price is only available through two storefronts – Steam and the PlayStation Store. Steam pre-orders have no strings attached, just buy the game and you'll get it at a discounted price. The PlayStation discount is only available if you are a PS Plus subscriber.

Worth every penny if this game is even half as good as it sounds
Pre-orders are not yet live on Xbox and Nintendo Switch so it's unclear if the same discount will apply, though it seems likely. There may be a similar caveat to PlayStation where you may need to subscribe to the platform's respective subscription services if you want to get the game for less. There's even a chance that Rita's Rewind will be released on Game Pass, and that's why its Xbox listing hasn't gone live yet, but for now, that's just speculation and wishful thinking on my part.
Rita's Rewind will end a five-year wait for a new Power Rangers game on consoles, as it will be the first game based on the popular series to come to anything other than mobile since 2019's Battle For The Grid. Rewind- Rita's will be very different from the last Power Rangers game and seemingly different from any Power Rangers game that has come before. Hopefully it works well enough that other Power Rangers teams that have replaced the Might Morphin crew over the years will be added to the game.
