Stalker 2 is getting its first patch next week after its launch was plagued by bugs and performance issues. This first patch will address numerous issues encountered by players, including bugs that stop progression or even crash the game.
Additionally, the patch will attempt to reduce the game's visual and crashing issues while improving the user interface. All in all, the patch will address a lot of areas of the game, hopefully addressing most of the issues players reported in the first week of release.

The full patch notes have been posted on Steam (as spotted by VGC) and explain that the update will be rolling out to PC and Xbox. It will aim to fix the game's crashes, including “memory allocation issues and failures” that “caused the game to crash unexpectedly, especially in rendering, skeleton meshes, and mission-related scenes.”
Another frustrating issue players run into is softlocking, preventing progress until a previous save is loaded. The developers say they will fix this by addressing an issue where “players were unable to close the swap screen after putting ammo in the wrong slot while playing on a gamepad.”
Then there will be fixes for “several bugs that block the progress of the main quest.” This includes addressing “NPCs getting stuck in items, incorrect quest markers, and issues with quest scenes.”
