About the Team

Subnautica 2 is created by Unknown Worlds, a completely remote studio that traces its roots back to the Half-Life Natural Selection mod from 2002. It's the same studio that created the original Subnautica. The team is spread across the globe, from the United States to the United Kingdom, France, Iceland, Austria, Australia, Canada, India and many other places.

Early access development

Subnautica 2 will be an Early Access game, meaning it will be in active development at launch. You may encounter bugs, features under development, and performance issues.
