Among the tactics used to exorcise curses, cursed tools are one option. From cursed instruments capable of summoning lightning from the sky to those capable of canceling cursed techniques, it's safe to say that these special weapons should not be easily dismissed.

Inverted Spear of Heaven

First Appearance

User(s)

  • Season 2 Episode 3

  • Chapter 71

Toji Fushiguro

A special grade cursed instrument, the Inverted Sky Spear was first introduced in the third episode of Season 2 in the hands of Toji Fushiguro. A weapon with the ability to cancel cursed techniques, it was able to penetrate beyond Satoru Gojo's Limitless and even kill him (albeit momentarily).

It was further used in the fight against Suguru Geto, instantly nullifying Kuchisake-Onna's simple domain. It was last seen and used during the second battle between Toji and Gojo. Following the latter, the weapon's condition becomes unknown, with some theorizing that Gojo destroyed it, which… could you blame him if he did?

  • Chapter 0-4, 46

  • Toji Fushiguro

  • Suguru Geto

  • Maki Zenin

  • Megumi Fushiguro

  • Aoi Todo

A weapon originally wielded by Toji Fushiguro, the Playful Cloud is a three-section staff that is notoriously difficult to wield. This weapon reflects and enhances the wearer's physical strength and is extremely effective in the hands of Toji Fushiguro and Maki Zenin, who are force incarnate.

Playful Cloud first appeared during the Goodwill event and has since been used to defeat Dagon during the Shibuya Incident Arc. As of now, all that remains of Playful Cloud is a single blade after Toji broke all three links that held them together, and it was used the last time he fought against his son, Megumi.

First Appearance

User(s)

Jujutsu Kaisen 0

Miguel Oduol

First introduced in the franchise film, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, the Black Rope works almost similarly to the Inverted Spear of Heaven. Despite being able to nullify cursed techniques on contact, however, the weapon disintegrates further with each use.

Jujutsu Kaisen's opening themes are all great, but which is the best?

Brought by Miguel Oduol for the specific purpose of dealing with Gojo's technique, the black rope was created by the wizards of the Oduol clan over many years. The weapon failed to deal damage to Gojo like the Inverted Spear did and was used entirely during the fight. Due to how difficult and time consuming it is to create one, another black rope may not appear for a long time.

7

Split Soul Katana

First Appearance

User(s)

  • Season 2 Episode 3

  • Chapter 71

  • Toji Fushiguro

  • Maki Zenin

  • Hagane Daido

Another weapon once belonging to Toji Fushiguro, the Split Soul Katana first appeared during the Hidden Inventory Arc. This sword is capable of cutting through the toughest skin and dealing soul damage to the targeted target. Toji was even able to pierce the skin of Suguru Geto's Rainbow Dragon with this weapon.

The weapon reappeared after Mai Zenin used her life and technique to restore it for Maki to exact her ultimate revenge on the Zenin Clan. Since then, the Split Soul Katana has been primarily used by Maki Zenin during the Culling Game Arc.

6

The thousand mile chain

Toji Fushiguro uses Chain of a Thousand Miles in Jujutsu Kaisen.

First Appearance

User(s)

  • Season 2 Episode 4

  • Chapter 75

Toji Fushiguro

The Thousand Mile Chain is a long-range weapon that was, once again, possessed by Toji Fushiguro. Used in the second battle between Toji and Gojo, the chain had the unique ability to stretch indefinitely as long as one end of the weapon remained hidden.

Being the weapons master that he was, Toji used the Thousand Mile Chain in tandem with the Inverted Spear of Heaven against Gojo. However, this weapon ceased to exist the moment Gojo threw Hollow Purple and tore it into pieces.

5

Dragon-BoneMaki Zenin uses Dragon-Bone in the Jujutsu Kaisen manga.

First Appearance

User(s)

Chapter 148

A cursed tool that will most likely make an appearance in the next season, the Dragon-Bone is primarily Maki Zenin's weapon. Forged by Juzo user Kamiya, Maki gets her hands on the Dragon-Bone after being tipped off to its location by Master Tengen.

The Dragon-Bone has three motors built into the hilt, allowing the weapon to gather cursed energy to deliver a more fatal blow. Maki used the Dragon-Bone (dual wielded alongside the Split Soul Katana) to exterminate the Zenin Clan and take out the hostile wizards in the Culling Game.

4

Higuruma's Hammer

Higuruma Hiromi wielding the hammer in Jujutsu Kaisen.

First Appearance

User(s)

Chapter 158

Higuruma Hiromi

A cursed tool linked to Higuruma Hiromi's innate technique, this weapon is adaptable to the whims of its user, able to change its proportions to replicate a variety of weapons. Since Hiromi was a lawyer, every facet of his technique emulates his previous occupation, with the hammer being able to transform into the Sword of Slaughter.

Higuruma is a player in the Culling Game, wielding the hammer against Yuji Itadori and eventually joining together with other wizards to eliminate Sukuna.

3

First Appearance

User(s)

Chapter 174

Kuroroshi

The Festering Life Blade is part of the Kurourushi Special Grade Cursed Spirit Technique. Kurorushi is a participant in the Culling Game and summons this tool from his own body. Since he's a curse in the form of a bug, his techniques and what this tool can do will give you the heebie-jeebies.

This cursed tool has six holes built into the blade that can shoot eggs that will bury and sprout from the flesh of its target as insects. The Festering Life Blade was used against Yuta Okkotsu and other wizards in the Culling Game, ceasing to exist the moment Kurorushi was exorcised.

2

Kamutoke

Sukuna reveals the cursed tool Kamutoke in Jujutsu Kaisen.

First Appearance

User(s)

Chapter 237

Sukuna

A cursed instrument owned and wielded by Sukuna, Kamutoke has the ability to generate a great rain of lightning upon its target. The weapon has a brutal history in the bloody rampages of Sukuna in the Heian era, used to exterminate the elite wizards of the Fujiwara clan.

It is unclear what happened to the original tool, as the one used by Sukuna in the Shinjuku Showdown Arc was a cheat. Kamutoke was used against Mei Mei and Hajime Kashimo before being permanently knocked out of the scene by Higuruma Hiromi's Cursed Technique.

1

Sword of Extermination

Mahoraga uses the Sword of Extermination against Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen.

First Appearance

User(s)

  • Season 2 Episode 17

  • Chapter 118

Mahoraga

In addition to Mahoraga's many abilities as Megumi Fushiguro's tenth and final shikigami, he also wields his cursed tool. Known as the Sword of Extermination, this tool is made entirely of positive energy and is extremely harmful to cursed spirits.

First debuting during the Shibuya Incident Arc, Mahoraga displays the weapon in a fight against Sukuna. Although the blade wasn't able to harm the King of Curses, it was a perfect addition to an already blood-pumping battle.
