Netflix series Squid game launched Season 2 with seven new episodes on December 26, 2024, and fans couldn't be more excited. Director Hwang Dong-hyuk introduced five new deadly games, each resonating with Korean heritage. However, he still kept the giant doll from the original series, which is responsible for punishing all those who fail. Red light, green light.

This returning fan favorite raises the stakes once again for all players ready to risk their lives for the ultimate cash prize. Some of the other survival games included below are Mix, Ddakji and Gong-gi.

Red light, green light

Squid Game fans knew exactly what was coming when the giant puppet appeared in Season 2. Purpose Red light, green light is to get to the finish line without being scanned. The rules are simple: players must move when the doll is facing backwards and stop when the doll is facing forward.

Ddakji is the introductory game of the Six-Legged Challenge. Player 222, Kim Jun-hee, must complete the traditional Korean game quickly to save time for the team. She passes on the first try, leaving her very proud. The rules of the game consist of strategically tossing one paper card to flip the other on the floor. There is a specific force to apply to the throw as well as an ideal angle.

Fans love Player 222. Jun-hee is pregnant, and on the show, viewers can see her vulnerability as she struggles to keep up with the other contestants. Some theories are floating around, including one that Player 222 will win the game and deliver the baby safely. The results will be displayed in Squid game season 3, which was announced to be released by the end of 2025.

Mix is an intense team game that starts with players stepping on a rotating platform. Contestants must wait until a song stops to hear a predetermined number. Once the number is announced, players must create matching groups and lock themselves in nearby rooms within thirty seconds. Whoever fails to match the fixed number is eliminated.

Mingle is one of the scariest, anxiety-inducing games in the series. Over 150 players died, while others were forced to kill and break alliances to survive and advance to the next round of play. One of the highlights of this game was player 230: Thanos. While the rest of the contestants were in awe of the Mingle game, Thanos performed some dance moves. This scene led to countless memes and videos all over social media.

Russian Roulette was one of the first games played in Squid Game Season 2. The game is between the seller, also known as the recruiter, and the former winner of the game, Gi-Yun — player 456. Gi-Yun, driven by revenge, wants him to tell him who the Frontman is. The salesman tells him that the answer is in his pocket, but first he must play a game: Russian Roulette.

The game is simple. Load a revolver with a bullet, rotate the cylinder, point the gun at your own head and pull the trigger. Then it's the opponent's turn until someone ends up dead. The seller ends up executed.

Gong-gior Korean Jacks, is another children's game from The Six-Legged Pentatlon Challenge. In Squid game season 2, the contestant responsible for saving the team is Dae-ho, player 388. He successfully leads the team to the next game, throwing and catching the stones through all five levels on the first try.

The aim of the game is to throw the stones and catch them in different sequences in all five levels, with each level becoming more difficult than the previous one. Focus and steady hands are a must to succeed.
