Disperser

Dis Spell is a good spell

Cleaning is such a deadly thing to do. No self-respecting ghost would bother with that. Who has time to clean a toilet or wash dishes when there's scary fun to be had? With Dispeller, no ghost will ever have to do chores again.

The Dispeller power allows ghosts to arrange themselves instantly. With a wave of the hands and a bit of ghostly power, the slime and mud disappear. It's not the flashiest of powers, but it's by far one of the most practical. The Dispeller makes the house tidier, which makes the ghosts happier. Happy haunting, happy life, right?

Transcendent Woohoo

From this (Lower) World.

It wouldn't be The Sims without a new woohoo place, and with Transcendent woohoo, ghosts can basically woohoo anywhere. Transcendent Woohoo allows a ghost to turn their woohoo partner into a ghost temporarily.

Your partner will return to normal once the deed is done. Don't worry.

The two ghosts will then float into the air and appear in the nearest piece of furniture to get… intimate. Hey, don't come knocking if he knocks the couch, okay? This power is delightfully silly and provides plenty of opportunities for the ghosts to cause a little mischief while having a little love.

Transverse phantom

While The Sims 4's neighborhoods may not be as large as others, they can still be a pain to navigate if a Sim is in a hurry. For those ghosts who really can't find time to float around the map, Ghostly Transverse has them covered.

Ghostly Transverse allows ghosts to teleport to a location with a simple twist and turn. This could be very useful for catching a certain townsman before he leaves, or to save time while hunting for collectibles.

Sure, these other ghost powers are fun and all. But have you ever had the pleasure of making a really loud noise? We mean a really loud and big noise. The kind that scares passers-by.

With the power of Spooky Spectacle, malicious ghosts can now do just that. This noise will disturb the living Sims around them and amuse the ghost. Most malicious powers are designed to be more annoying than actually evil (they are still Sims after all). This is the mildest annoying of all and that makes it perfect.

Leviticus

Use the Force (sort of)

There may be some new careers in Life and Death, but they're not the only way a ghost can make money. Those with the power of the Levitator can bully unsuspecting mortals into giving them money. How? Just mind blowing them, of course.

The Levitator allows ghosts to lift Sims into the air and shake them upside down, releasing their Simoleons for the taking. Sims understandably won't like this, but it's very funny to watch them tussle in the air. Plus it gives simoleons, and life cost doesn't drop, not even for ghosts.

Managing your Sim's needs can be a bit of a pain, especially when you just want to try on nice clothes or wreak havoc around town. Sims always seem to need a bath or something to eat or go to bed. Lame. For ghost sims with the Devourer ability, they can now take care of their mood… in a slightly nasty way.

Manipulation of objects

Moving things doesn't stop at The Sims. Malevolent ghosts can also move inanimate objects. Object manipulation allows a ghost to fly into something and manipulate it using their powers.

A number of items are open to this possession, but the best items to possess are probably musical instruments. This allows the ghosts to play extremely creepy music, which is perfect for crazy Sims alive. Plus, it looks great when a violin floats along playing music. Summon your inner Phantom of the Opera and create some spooky tunes.

Strong resistance

I can't stop, I won't stop

Powerful Endurance is one of the most powerful ghost powers in the game – and it's incredibly simple. The Strong Resist ability means that all other abilities use less power when cast. In other words, it leaves more power for other spells.

This is perfect for the economic ghost. With so many new powers that come in handy, you might quickly run out of energy as you throw them all away. While power builds up over time, this can be a bit of a pain. With Powerful Endurance, ghosts won't run out of power easily, allowing for more fun and more scares.

Selfless Carer

Blessings be upon you

For a ghost who has dedicated her afterlife to helping the living, no power is more powerful than the Selfless Caregiver ability. This power allows them to bless a living sim with two powerful gifts. The first is an immediate boost to their needs, which could be convenient in more serious situations.

The second is that Altruistic Caregiver extends a Sim's lifespan. For a Sim who may be on the verge of dying of old age or simply afraid of getting old, this ability will give them more precious time. Death comes for every Sim eventually, but the Altruistic Caregiver ability allows ghosts to say “not today” to Death.

Grim's Ride Or Die

A Totally Grim Beast

In life, it's often not what you know, but who you know. It is the same in death. Grim's Ride or Die is an advanced power that gives ghosts the ability to automatically save a Sim from death.

This power is both very funny and very useful. A ghost with the Grim's Ride or Die ability can walk up to the Grim Reaper and punch him. Grim will respond in kind and save the deceased Sim from final death, purely out of friendship. The sim will then come back to life perfectly. What a brother.
